Refund getting smaller

[ Edited ]

I recently returned the Pristine Universal Rotating Tablet Holder.

Out of the price of $25.36 I received back only $14.61. I knew I had to pay $6.95 shipping being deducted buy also another $3.50 was deducted. They charged me more than they ever had taken out on items before.

I contacted Customer Service and was told $14.61 was correct. They really didn't care and didn't even looked into it.

The holder wouldn't hold my iPad without tipping no matter how I had it adjusted. So it would be of no help to what I bought it for. I did try several positions but none worked.

I buy many things on QVC and I think that extra $3.50 that was deducted was wrong. I might as well threw it away.

Was the 3.50 the original shipping cost?  They always deduct that too unless you report the item defective.

The 3.50 was the orignally shipping cost to mail it to you.  You don't get this cost returned to you.

It pays to shop on free shipping days so that way you will only pay for the return shipping if you return an item.

I never saw that extra on my returns price as I usually do not return very much.
I usually watch for free shipping days but my daughter just finished 6 months of chemo and I was with her a lot. She gets a month off and then starts radiation treatments. She had all smiles when she got to ring that chemo is now over bell. A good news for Christmas for us.

Happy New Year to all and hope it is a good year.

@MKR14.  We've  always paid the $3.50 original shipping when returning an item.  Nothing new.

Sounds like it is defective, if that is the case they waive the return shipping.

Geesh, what a bunch of looser tight wads. Lol lol. They charge to ship, and then return shipping. Almost 11.00 bux.for small item.   I don't shop here anymore, but places I shop always have free ship. I do pay return ship, except Nordies. Free ship, free return.

I know they have always done this, but they sure need to do something more customer oriented..

@MKR14    Did you know that if an item is considered defective, you don't have to pay the return shipping, and you also get your original shipping fee reimbursed?   It sounds to me, like this item qualifies.  They won't automatically offer it to you, you have to explain the issue and ask for a full refund.

@september   I agree.  Maybe it's worth a call back to explain further. Maybe not. To me, 3.50 wouldn't be worth calling, staying on hold forever, and dealing with CS reps that aren't as well informed as the past.  Something that doesn't work as demonstrated truely is defective in a way. As long as you bought right oroduct and right size.   Next time, maybe wait for free ship as suggested.  Otherwise IDK what to say, except sorry this happened. Kinda frustrating.
