If you can use reusable bags I like the Ripstop Polyester Waterproof Reusable Shopping Bags, Washable,  bags which you can look for on amazon.

If you use shutterfly for photos they have  a ripstop polyester shopping bag which when you get it the label says RuMe for shutterfly which I really like and got a promo code for one this weekend.  and it is 2.00 more than last year.

One of the big local chains here has banned reusable bags for the time being

Giant Eagle says customers should not bring reusable bags to stores, as a precautionary measure to help ensure sanitary conditions amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Plexiglass dividers are also being installed at checkouts and customer service areas in Giant Eagle and Market District grocery stores, pharmacies and GetGo convenience stores.

Shoppers will also see new signs and floor indicators to let them know the appropriate social distance at checkout lanes.

That's interesting since at checkout you can get fuel perks for each reusable bag you bring in to use, which started not long before the virus outbreak but still pops up on the register at checkout.

I have three of these STARPLAST 22 QT (15.1×10.2×9.5) bins in gray, and love them.  One, enough for most trips,  fits perfectly on the top of the half-carts, which is what I usually use. If I bring two, I put one in the bottom tier of the half-cart, or use a regular cart.

The clerks like them, too. They're easy to load, and sanitary.

Word is getting around about unsanitary reusable bags, and one store had a sign that clerks can refuse to bag at their discretion. And random samplings do not reflect what shoppers are saying: that they launder their reusable bags after each use. These bins can be cleaned inside and out by immersing in, or wiping down with, a bleach solution, or using a spray or wipes.

Well our stores ran out of plastic bags about a week before our plastic bag ban started so they aren't an option here.
