Ale-ha Ha-Sholom, dear Joanie. Rest in peace, dear lady.

I have no words right now.

Thank you Sunny I am Jewish but did not know the correct prayer to post

Usedtobeoxox, I didn't know it either. I had to Google. I know Kaddish but not this expression. You're very welcome.

I read that Melissa did everything she could for her mom in her last days on earth. She got her the best room in the hospital, and had it decorated by a famous designer whose name I can't recall. She also had Joan's hairdresser come in to do her hair, and her manicurist to give her a mani/pedi. She brought things from home that Joan loved, to dress up the room. That's a good daughter. She's got a long road ahead, but if Melissa is made of the same stuff as Joan, she'll be okay.

Joan River's passing is like losing a dear friend or sister. Someone who could be counted on to say out loud what most of us really are thinking. Her comedy.. her STYLE and her love where one of a kind. She will be missed. She left us at the height of her career. The world mourns the loss of this pioneer and singular person. Whether you enjoyed her or not she was an icon. Be at peace. Because of you Joan, the world smiled a little every day. Thank you.

At least she passed without a lot of suffering, doing what she wanted to, up until the last.

May we all be blessed to pass that way.

I feel that way, too. She didn't have to suffer for any length of time, or be afraid of what was happening to her. Not a bad way to go, especially after living such a very full life.

Rest In Peace, Joan Alexandra Molinsky.

She will be missed on the Q. That is where I really started liking her.

I'm watching the E channel.

They are doing a very nice tribute to Joan.

She was an amazing and interesting woman.

There's a new bright star in the sky tonight.

Rest well, Joan.

I can't believe she has passed away! I think for several reasons. She was always in motion, or so she seemed. She was such a versatile person. Her comedy shows, touring, her fashion shows, her lines of goods --- jewelry, accessories, etc. And the fact that she appeared to be in decent health and kept about her busy schedule until this happened. She said she would never retire because she loved what she did and enjoyed it so much. I still can't grasp that Robin Williams is gone either. Two wonderful comedic giants. Both so unique. I have to repeat a line used a lot -- bigger than life. But that certainly describes Joan. There can be no possible way anyone else can ever fill her shoes. A great loss for everyone.

"Turn! Turn! Turn!"

"To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep"
