So sad to see young people dying.
I’m upset our culture is not recognizing this as a crisis.
I adored Chris during Project Runway...soft soul.

Sad to hear of his passing. He was one of my favorite contestants. I may not have liked all his designs, but he was definitely talented. I loved his joy for life and sense of humor.

That's what the reports I've read have said too, plus by the time he called for help 4 days later, he was in total organ failure and placed in a medically induced coma.
According to his Drs. and family the fatal heart attack was a total surprise as he had no known heart issues.
I'm not sure what "crisis" the OP is alluding to.
A terrible, sad accident.

It is not a crisis when people do not take care of themselves. I could have looked at him and said heart attack on the way. The fall was unfortunate but why would he fall and get hurt so badly ? I didn't know him and he wasn't old enough to die but one can only wonder at the background story.

I'm sure @sidsmom is alluding to the fact that he was overweight so of course he was having health issues?
@sidsmom Thinks we should all be eating a plant diet.
Some people just have heart issues it's not always caused from being over weight. Plenty of normal weight people have dropped dead from heart attack.

OMG how sad, I remember how passionate and sensitive he was on the show.
I think he is the third one that has passed away from Project Runway, Mychael Knight (39), Wendy Pepper (53).
RIP

I kinda knew that was what was being inferred.....no surprise there.
Who knows why he fell, maybe he tripped over the cat?
But making disparaging remarks about a person's life/death, just to feed your own agenda, is wrong, IMO.

FYI................heart disease is the leading cause of death today for both men & women.
