I don't want to remember 2016, it was awful.

@Noel7......I know you have had a rough year but you are always someone who looks at the bright side of it and your posts inspired me to get through a difficult year.

Just also wanted to let you know that when you posted about taking a statin it also helped me to make a big decision and go on Lipitor. I figured if John and Noel can do it, so can I. I found the results astonishing....my numbers are actually so low that my physician is thinking of having me take it every other day.

Once again, thanks and please know that you inspired me throughout the year to hang in there. You're a great role model for courage....

Thank you @Trinity11  I needed that.

My daughter has been sick and suffers greatly with almost continual pain.  She was also a passenger in a car accident and suffered a serious concussion.  She is so smart and creative, so kind to others and caring.  I hate to see her suffer, I would rather it be me.

@Noel7  Noel, times like this there are no words... I am so sorry your daughter is suffering. We went through a very serious illness with my son so I very much understand how hard it is to have to stand by feeling helpless with their pain.

Here is hoping that in 2017, your daughter will find comfort. Blessings for your entire family...

I can say the same for us personally, though a couple of friends at camp passed away and one friend had a large stroke. Our summers will not be the same without these fine individuals.

So sorry to read about everyone's pain and sorrow. Hope 2017 will be better for all of you.

As for me well my Mom had a much better year. No hospitalizations after three last year. I survived that year, don't know how. Because I just had to I guess.

Because of everything I've gone through I am a stronger and more confident person. More empathetic too. Much less patience for b....s. Got some much needed professional help to try to deal with certain issues and my messed up family. That is what it is, wishing otherwise is a waste of time. I have to care about myself and stand up for myself, and finally I can. Took WAY too long. I see many things so much more clearly now, and that's a good thing.

It was a wonderful year, but I certainly feel for those who lost loved ones.

My FIL dying and all things going on with his effects.  I didn't know how strong I was to get through these times.

@Puzzle Piece  I tend to agree with you about the mods - but I suppose it is only human to leave a statement when it agrees with your own personal POV.
