Oh my goodness, I had no idea that she was 89. God Bless her. It's scary how quickly the years go by...

My first experience with Ms.Stritch's career was many years ago when we rented a non-Disney version of Pollyanna. It had been a t.v. series. She was fabulous as Aunt Polly and from then on whenever she has appeared she totally commanded whatever program she was on. Her stage presence was unequalled in my opinion. Similar to Hepburn.

Remember her from a couple Cosby episodes as Rudy's teacher. Terrific actress.

Loved her portrayal of Jack Donaghy's mother ""Colleen"" on ""30 Rock"".

Said she played ""Maude"" in the British version of that sitcom called ""Nobody's Perfect."" I can picture her in that role - Wish they'd show it here.
