Even during my first few years watching QVC before the Internet, I bought almost no clothes -  no matter who the host was.  Until I'm desperate, I'm highly unlikely to buy more from QVC no matter what the hosts talk about.

Agreed.

Q's greatest marketing trick is to get viewers to think hosts are friends and a lot of people fall for it. Hosts are not our friends or acquantances. Hosts are salespeople who happen to sell on tv.

Hosts don't think twice about viewers. They care about sales and keeping their jobs.

You are right.  They are there for one reason and that is too sell. They just get the bonus of talking ad nauseam about their families, vacations, or whatever.

To describe a garment color Amy had to go through a story about her daughter who loves hot chocolate with whipped cream. Then she leaves it for 30 minutes. I don’t know why she leaves it that long.  Now she said imagine the color of that cream melted into the chocolate.

How about just saying light brown. Leave out the daughter and her habits.

Hosts need to care about how much they're selling, not how popular and how many followers. Just because you are well liked does not mean your sales are great.

When I'm told to go to QVC.com for pertinent information, they've lost a sale. I should never have to go to the Q for the inseam or whether or not it comes in petite!!!

Agree.  Wish we could get better information and yes, post the charts.

So much chatter.  Too much time showing each item, perhaps that is the problem.  They don't use the time wisely but they have so much time to socialize.

Re: Quit talking and discuss sizing , length etc

I watched Terri Conn this morning on some show that was supposed to have Ali Carr hosting and was pleasantly surprised. She was alone, so no talking over, and she actually gave sizes and information on the items presented. I've not watched her very much but really enjoyed the show. I don't need to be friends with the hosts or vendors, just the basics, please, and I surely do not need to sit and listen to two hosts, a vendor, and whoever else may drop in to the set, all trying to talk at once. If I want that, I can go to the local bar.
