@skatting44 wrote:Just saw this show on the guide tonight. Host did provide the inseams on the ponte pants , but I didn't catch the lehgth of the knit dress . Alot of laughing and DB had alot of excitment of being back in studio tonight ,
Wish they posted on air some of the garment measurements as they did back in the day . They try to say " order your usual QVC "size but this does not always work . Also watch dress lengths as they vary
@skatting44 I find "Order your usual QVC size" to be very annoying...I can wear anything from a Small to a large here. How does that help?

I was actually considering the Canyon Retreat girlfriend jean A606147 until I noticed that all three colors were splattered with paint! No thanks! I really liked the overall fit of them and checked measurements but I don't want paint on my jeans.
I just painted an old bookcase this past weekend and I would change into my schmatta paint covered clothes when painting. I don't want to pay for clothes to have paint on them.

I hear ya! I mute to not hear the gabbing. I really never have cared about the personal life/stories at all. False excitement about everything. I just change the channel when they go on and on and guess what - NO SALE.

I don't know why they even have hosts.
If it was just the vendor describing their items they could focus on giving detailed information about what they are selling.

Cannot watch Dennis. It's all about him, not the item.

The new fall things look like the same styles as the past few years, but in darker colors like brown and rust. Being petite,I cannot wear the super long cardigans...I rarely see these in stores anymore so not sure why they carry so many different ones of these at Q...and still see the cascade front cardigans, uneven hemlines, and the never-ending collection of tunic lengths. Does t seem Q really updated for fall.
I used to like perfect jersey from D& C and the " how modern" jeans...Of course....they are gone now. I will also be shopping my closet. As I have mentioned in the past, Q seems obsessed with boots...not everyone lives in a climate where they need several pairs of winter boots. They are also back to chunky, clunky shoes for fall...and the TSV might be okay, but it's manmade....aka vinyl....and loses its shape and stretches out after you wear it a few times.
Hope the next "new for fall" clothing items will really look new with some updated styles.

@haddon9 I had to chuckle about your post. I, too, looked at the paint splattered jeans I wore to paint the bathroom and thought, "well, no problem there, I can use these to go out and about with." Lol.. Holes and paint, what's next? Stains?

@millieshops wrote:@CalminHeart and don't ever forget that it would also interfere with what prompts sales. Years ago when I watched more, I remember Jeanne Bice telling the host to skip the numbers. She insisted they were boring, but I suspect she also had knowledge of what pushed sales. Like it or not, plenty of the Q's TV buyers tune in just for that personal touch. I hear that frequently from callers, but not a day goes by that right here in the Forum someone doesn't ask about a host's personal life or comment on it.
Even during my first few years watching QVC before the Internet, I bought almost no clothes - no matter who the host was. Until I'm desperate, I'm highly unlikely to buy more from QVC no matter what the hosts talk about.
Agreed.
Q's greatest marketing trick is to get viewers to think hosts are friends and a lot of people fall for it. Hosts are not our friends or acquantances. Hosts are salespeople who happen to sell on tv.
Hosts don't think twice about viewers. They care about sales and keeping their jobs.

Why can't they just put the item info on the tv screen? Easy fix, but they stilll need to describe and explain the fabric content, etc. I pass on so many things when I can't get the info , even on the website sometimes. The chitchat about their family, their pets, the weather, etc. does t tell me what I need to know to order something.

Can't stand him. Would NEVER buy anuthing he sells.I IMMEDIATELY change the channel when I see him. He is SO self-absorbed.
