Please ... I didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings either.  I was expressing my feelings, too.  I don't believe anyone means any harm, but ... there are some that this does hurt.  I was speaking for them.  Not everyone is as thick skinned as I am ... or as crazy. LOL 

So many have left because of being "dismissed" for their thoughts.  Just makes me sad at times I guess.

          I think I know what you mean, @Preds.   I left for a while after some particularly painful attacks directed at me when my beloved husband passed away.   And that was 3 years ago, so we're not talking about anything new.   To this day, I don't say much about him, or about my loss, because of the pain of the forum "slings and arrows."   The sad fact is that we have to either deal with the inflammatory, unkind posters (who are in the minority) or leave and let them "win" in a sense.    I might not always post as much as I did before, but I'd rather stay here with the majority who are interesting, compassionate, funny, and kind.   I also will try to speak up when I see someone who's the victim of a "pile-on," sometimes even when I don't completely agree with their perspective but when it was presented respectfully and civilly.   I think that's what you're doing, and I say, "kudos!"

I made a similar comment a few weeks ago and our babysitters deleted thread, for no reason that I could think of.  Anyway, I agree.  I always thought this was a discussion board and not a new verision of Pinterest.  I like to post pictures too and that is where I post them.  I can see posting a picture or two to make a point or emphasize something you said but I can't wrap my head around why anyone would post 42 pictures of spring dress. Just ...hey.....look at these...lol    That's not a conversation and it's the sharing of ideas.  And it takes so much time!  And sadly, it seems to be growing.  We see it almost everyday.  I might be missing something since I actually like to say something in a post; so, I look foward to hearing what people have to say.

I didn't read all of the posts but if people want to post pics be my guest. But I will admit I will not be sorry if I never see that photo of that cat with it's mouth agape again lol

I'm a very visual person too @lovestoteach.  I especially like to use visuals to express my sense of humor and I will continue to do so.  So for those of you who don't care for it just.....

I appreciate when a picture is included in a thread about the person. I like the pictures of fashions in the fashion forum. Otherwise, I would rather not have them.

I dislike teaser threads; I can't  believe anyone likes those.
