Re: Question about Facebook

[ Edited ]

I don't know if this helps, but even though this is for access to an app it's a pretty good example of what I've seen in the past for public pages:

Well, at least I'm not alone!

I swear, it just drives me mad.  This is the Facebook page of Tinykittens.com.

There is a long thread here regarding the kitties there (It's the thread about Sloaney, etct).  I've been following them for a couple of years now, and that Facebook scrolling is just infuriating!  Thankfully, the Livestream page for Tinykittens does fine, but if you try to view her Facebook page, BOOM, the whole screen gets blocked out.  Someone said it is similar to the scrolling page at Pinterest and that's right, it is.

Well, guess I'll just have to learn to live with it for now.

What a pain!

Did you try all our suggestions, @Witchy Woman? I look at the Tiny Kittens page often without being logged in.

Yes, I did.

There is no "X" on the page that will close it out.  If I scroll more than a few inches down, the white-out scrolling begins at the bottom and consumes the page.

This is the Tinykittens facebook page, not the Lifestream feed for Tinykittens.  I'm on a desk top computer and none of the suggestions made worked for me.

Again, I can view the Livestream feed just fine, but when I link to her Facebook page, the login/sign up page appears.

I do understand that.  As I said, I look at the Facebook page frequently. Smiley

You tried the things I suggested?  The escape key, or clearing cookies and website data and relaunching the browser?

Which browser are you using?  There's a fix for the problem since most of us can view the page, but I know it's frustrating, @Witchy Woman.

(eta:  I'm using Firefox v.  42.0 and Chrome v. 47.0.2526.80)

I will go back and try the suggestions, but none worked the first time.  Who knows, maybe I missed something.

I'm using Edge which came with the newest Microsoft package.  I don't much like the updates, but so it goes.

I've had issues with everything else, IE, Chrome, Firefox.  Who knows what the problem is?  I have a virus protector, etc., but the darn thing has a mind of it's own!

The website I created for our B&B is on WIX, but they don't support Edge, so it's always something!

Believe me, I can  understand the aggravation.

Edge may well be the problem.  It's still a major work in progress, and for that reason I'd be sure to have at least Firefox or  Chrome installed and up-to-date to use as comparison when problems arise.  Sending good vibes your way, @Witchy Woman.Smiley
