Question about Costco coupons

I recently rejoined Costco after switching to BJs for several years.  I am not sure how their coupon book works now.  Is there anything I have to do to use them at the store or are they now automatically added to the memberhsip card?  Thanks for your help!

Re: Question about Costco coupons

They are automatic unless they state otherwise.  You don't have to take the book with anymore.

Re: Question about Costco coupons

The coupon book just basically shows what is on sale for a specific time frame.

@tipsy @DiAnne  Thank you both so much!  One more question.  If something is on sale and you buy 2 of the item -- will you get the discount on both?

Re: Question about Costco coupons

The book usually says if there is a limit...or no limit!  And the sale price is the price for that time frame... like the current book is good through June 17th, so no matter how many you buy that is the price.

@judy0330  At the store, above an item that is on sale in the coupon book is a white sign saying it is on sale, the discount you get, and what the final price will be. It will also list whether there is a limit on how many you can purchase.  Also, it says that in the coupon book itself (which is not really a coupon book any more but just an advertisement of what's on sale book, as someone mentioned).  It's helpful to take the book with you to see if there is a limit and also to remind you of what's on sale.  But as I say, there is a big white sign above the product and the discount is usually highlighted in yellow on the sign.
