Love Queen, love Adam Lambert! I never saw Freddie 'live' unfortunately.
We will be at the show Sunday night too.
Awesome show! Where were you sitting? I was close to the stage maybe 10 rows back- on the Brian May side.
I was glad to read this thread beforehand- and was 'prepared' for the delayed start time!!!
How late was the show start?
@muttmom 8:40- but it went on non stop for a good 2 hours.

The Newark show was between 8:00 & 8:45 and went for at least 2 hours. It must be their typical start time. They were at the Barclay Center Friday and the reviews were great but mentioned the late start time.
We live in suburban NY and it was easier to drive to NJ than Brooklyn.
Did you sing Happy Birthday?

We saw them in Vegas. Hands down the best concert I have ever been to. I took my 23 year old son and 18 year old daughter. We are all Queen fans. No one can replace Freddie But Adam could be his son! I think Freddie would have loved him. Adam was beautiful totally a show man!!

Good, great, but you know nobody could ever replace Steve Perry or Freddie! Just can't be done. Close but no cigar. Those of us who heard them in concert were REALLY lucky!

I do not think Adam Lambert is trying to replace him. He's made a boatload of money for the 2 remaining members of Queen. I think there were just as many Adam Lambert fans at the concert we attended as Queen fans. Adam is Queen's cash cow.

@Robin1869I've seen the show with Adam 3x now; 2 years ago by myself and then my son went the 2nd time when I wouldn't stop raving!! My daughter went with me this time when my son wouldn't stop raving to her !! So now my parental responsibiliities are fulfilled. ![]()
Brian May has said in interviews that Freddie would be amazed at Adam's vocal range. And he would be so happy that Adam is carrying on the legacy.

We were in section 112. Our seats were good, but not as good as yours.

Queen does not need the money. They love the music and they love what they are doing. If they hadn't found Adam, they would have rested on their laurels and their residuals. Brian is a professor. Roger has done other projects and would probably be working with his son who followed in his dad's footsteps, now the drummer for Justin Hawkins' The Darkness. They have said if they didn't like Adam and if he wasn't great to work with, they wouldn't have regrouped with him. I've seen Adam several times in concert with his own music, and Queen has always been my go to music when I get tired of the new stuff. The marriage of the two is just icing on the cake.
