What did this woman ever do to deserve the praise including "courageous."

No more than any other woman, commoners though they may be.

Courage is a very powerful word.

Did she storm Normandy Beach.

My opinion,  of course.  The adulation is very misplaced.

You are spot on .... the adulation is very misplaced.  Every time I see someone gush and say oh she's so amazing, or she's so courageous I think it's just hogwash.

That woman has servants, chauffers and money up the wazoo and has never done anything she didn't feel like doing.  Unless the cameras were running, of course.

Continuing a non-judgmental "Courage" conversation:

To me, " courageous" would have been to grab my family and abscond to parts unknown prior to coronation.

Of course,  that wasn't going to happen.   She openly accepted predestination and primogenitured Queendom.

Of course.  Who here wouldn't?

A life of luxury, wealth, untold riches, privelege........

Who would turn that down?

Understandable.  Sure.  Courageous?  Hardly.

In my opinion,  of course.

I was happy to read today that the Queen has made 3 appearances in the last 5 days, the latest being today with Prince Edward at a railway named in her honor.  She was using a cane but looks amazing!

I totally agree.  They had a lovely relationship and without her husband, she definitely showed signs of frailty, then Covid, plus at 96, she's still an amazing woman.
