Same thing happened to my son with amazon. He ordered online, and somehow it flipped from his address to mine. The confirmation emails had his address only,  then the shipping notices had mine.  I ended up mailing  his packages to him.

It was only once he sent something to me a couple of years ago.   He deleted any ship-to addresses besides his own so it can't happen again.

How does one refuse a package when you never know when they are coming. Tracking isn't always accurate.

Not only that but USPS never rings the bell and if they can stuff it in my mailbox they do. UPS is already in their truck till I get to the door sometimes.

Annabelle, surely your daughter can just put the clothing in the mail and send it back to you? You can always reimburse her for the postage.

Sorry, that this happened to you but stuff happens in life and this is just a glitch in the road.....

Melania, the one time I ended up refusing a package, I had to notify UPS to come and pick it up. I have never been able to catch them either.

Thanks to everyone for your kind replies.  I think QVC needs to accept responsibility for lack of training these people.

I remember about that time (it was late in the evening) and both times the people who were helping me kept saying, "Just a minute, just a minute".  It was obvious they didn't know what they were doing.

I realize they are being apologetic but when you're on the other end waiting and keep hearing the same thing, it gets frustrating.

Now QVC has added that phrase where you push the 1 button if it is going to yourself.  What's that about?  I think they just don't take time to train these people.  It has to be frustrating for them too.

I send a lot of things to my youngest daughter in Colorado.  I've had this happen with credit cards.  A few years ago they switched cards in the computer and everything was going to the card I use for specific things.  I did what someone here suggested with addresses, I deleted all other cards.

My daughter just recently moved and I can't ever remember her address.  Some of these new addresses are hard to remember.

@Melania

You don't have to be there at the moment of delivery to refuse a package.

USPS-just take it back to the Post Office UNOPENED and give it to the clerk as a refusal.  Or just leave it in the mailbox w/ a note for your carrier the next day...REFUSED.

UPS-Just return UNOPENED to any UPS store, depot OR driver and give it back to them as refused.

Re:  tracking numbers

Only the UPS tracking numbers are totally accurate.  If given the 1Z blah blah number...that is on the out side of the pkg and you can identify which to refuse.

NOT ALL tracking numbers listed here for USPS will appear on the outside of the pkg.  Since they often use an outside Surepost Service which have their own numbers....it is possible that the number isn't going to match.

If it was their error, I would insist QVC cover any expenses incurred with getting you the items ordered.

If you refuse the pkg....you have to reoroder again.  Wait for it to make it back to Q and wait even longer for your credit refund.  You need to watch carefully to be sure some return clerk doesn't deduct orig. S/H AND charge the return fee!!!

Are they still even available to reorder in your size or color?

You will have to recharge/pay for everything again before they will ship.  And return credits take weeks!

Stinko situation which doesn't have any easy solution!

I order more things for others than I do for me.  I usually order on line, but occasionally call in.  Online you see the shipping address.  On phone orders, you are asked where the items should be shipped.

If this is QVC's mistake (although I cannot see how as the customer confirms the information)  your daughter can use the return labels and they will credit you with the shipping.  Refusing items often times takes longer for proper credit.

I don't know if this has changed but I tried to return by refusing a UPS package by going to the UPS store and they claimed to no longer accept refused packages. I had to call....
