Between QVC accessing your phone contacts and now this, maybe your son-in-law sabotaged your computer to prevent you from shopping.
I placed an order around 10 via my computer and had no problems.

Honestly, I think that the CS reps often don't have a clue what is going on when they are having problems. I think they are left 'holding the bag', having to try to pacify customers when the systems have glitches, without being informed themselves exactly what is wrong or what the time frame for repairs may be.
Everyone today just thinks all this stuff we do that relies on technology (includes much more than shopping, but our electric delivery, natural gas and water systems etc.) is always going to be there and working like a charm.
Something as simple as not being able to order the item on air sends people reeling! (not at all a negative comment about the original post, just a fact that people do get wound when they can't order). Makes me wonder what we would be in for when the technology fails and we are temporarily without the really important stuff (well, at least more important than the TSV!! LOL).

This URGENT thread title made me giggle, I know, mean- but it just seems a bit, dramatic.
Who knew there could be so many issues trying to spend money?

I'm very confused by people complaining about calling in their order when they're discussing their complaint on the computer. Also people who complain about the hosts not telling them XYZ information that's readily available on the website.
You have a computer --- use it!

a company the size of QVC should be able to anticipate a surge of orders and be able to address them better if there is a problem.
they need much better IT proffessionals

I don't think this is a formal "fashion day" like we used to have. If it was they wouldn't be selling food all afternoon. Apparently real fashion days where a lot of new merchandise is introduced is a thing of the past.
