Smiley Sad
When I heard of Q2 not doing live shows any more, the crew (camera, sound, lighting, etc) came to mind as they would no longer be needed.

Out of curiosity, I googled how many are employed at QVC and it's around 20k.

Companies are not family, and they can do whatever they want. However, how about a little compassion? Many people (like myself in 2009) lost their jobs through no fault of their own. As the saying goes, “before you criticize or abuse, walk a mile in my shoes.”

Oh good lord please stop. They are discussing a serious matter here. People are loosing their jobs, and liveliehoods. I personally do not watch QVC or HSN all that much anymore, but I still can have empathy for a person loosing their financial means to take care of themselves and their family.

Goodness, only if she works cheaply.  I see her now every day on the local news Steals and Deals segments, and they are not good.  She over-emotes and talks a mile a minute.

@MandyG06

I hope that you are able to find something soon. Years, ago I lost my job in a round of cuts in the Aerospace Industry. I was out of a job for six months. The only thing that saved me was having a healthy emergency fund and severance pay from my company at that time. Unemployment does not cut it.

Best of luck in finding something soon.

When Leah announced that Q2 would no longer be live it was inevitable that jobs, including host jobs, would be cut. Not surprised that Stacey was cut; looks as if 3 more will announce that we have seen them on QVC for the last time. I imagine others will have their hours, pay and benefits cut while still employed as hosts.

They certainly need to hire more support positions in shipping, returns processing and CS.

@queendiva  It could be a matter of the all-important distancing...lack of space, not lack of people.  Or lack of people due to lack of space.

What I do not understand is that customers complain about slow... lost  and/or never getting  their orders... and non existant CS help.... and they are cutting jobs?  Running on a shoestring makes no sense if your company is failing miserably at getting orders out to their customers.... and geting the orders right.

So they are going to cut more jobs and  help... and have  even worse issues with Customer satisfaction... that seems like a death wish to me... Just shut down the entire business rather than run it slipshod and  H. A.

Its sad to see anyone lose a job....and my heart goes out to all those workers....its not the best time to be seeking employment....

But folks, didnt we all see this coming with the cut backs in  live shows and too many hosts and production crews and not enough time slots for them........

It will be interesting to see which other hosts QVC choses to let go..............
