I hate to hear this.  It just reminds me how lucky I am to have weathered through it myself so far.  

I hope this doesn't shut down the forums at some point.  As big of a PITA we can all be to one another and the mods at times, I would hate to lose my friends here.

This is not good news in every way.

Companies on shaky financial pinnings, people losing their jobs.  The cascade effect just continues.  

Wow!  Whatever happened to our old life (rhetorical question).   These are tough times that, for most, will become even tougher.  I suppose the top 1% will be the only segment that will not feel the losses that continue.

When Leah announced that Q2 would no longer be live it was inevitable that jobs, including host jobs, would be cut. Not surprised that Stacey was cut; looks as if 3 more will announce that we have seen them on QVC for the last time. I imagine others will have their hours, pay and benefits cut while still employed as hosts.

They certainly need to hire more support positions in shipping, returns processing and CS.

let us hope those 450 people are not the entire customer service crew.... they already have no customer service.

It is funny that organizations (not just QVC) like to say the employees are like family . . .  at least until the layoffs start.  News alert:  Your employer is not your family.

@SeaMaiden  She also runs her own business selling items like on QVC. She bought a two million dollar horse farm so I guess she's doing ok.

Seems like taking a big chunk from ineffective upper management both at Qurate and at QVC might help the financial picture and possibly lead to better overall performance. For many of us, the current management teams have failed to impress.
