@We rescue cats   I used to know the "Oldie Goldies", but all the newer ones are nothing special...the long time ones are boring now,

Yes, Pat D., Leah, Jayne B. and sometimes David.  These are the only hosts I watch. they are professional and don't act stupid, foolish or immature.

I have to give credit to Mary for how she presented the TSV at midnight.  I stayed up because I need a new laptop and wanted to hear the specs.  Between Mary and the vendor, they covered nearly every topic I could think of in a clear and professional way.  No hard sell.  In fact, Mary posed some of her own questions and also asked some that customers had texted.  I was impressed when someone asked about gaming and the vendor gave a forthright answer that this laptop is not for high level gamers.  It reminded me of the past when hosts and vendors would spend time with a product.

@nascarfan.  Any host ought to be able to sell any product.   I r3member Kathy Levine once selling a folding fishing pole, if you can imagine that.  She pulled it off just fine.

Little did she know she was going to marry a guy whose hobby is deep sea fishing.  She could now probably write a book about it now.

@Kachina624   so true, I remember that.  Kathy Levine was a HOOT!  In those days the hosts knew and did everything!  For the first few years KL said they even helped pack items in shipping, took orders on phones when they needed help.  They were highly groomed by the vendors.  The Hosts knew,  used all products!  Today, I don't think the Hosts are trained as rigorously in product knowledge.  Before, they had required Host meetings a couple times a week and when new products were launched. They had demos, and tried each oroduct. In those days there was no internet to check product description . We relied totally on Host to demo, show and explain each product.  Kathy Levine once said she learned to sell and describe each item as if the buyer was sight impaired.  But IMHO none of us shouldn't  have to rely on the internet site to get measurements.   It's fine ro check internet info to get extra detail and such..  It should only be an option. The Hosts have time to describe product in detail it's their job!!   They can just quit talking about family, kids, vacations.....

What is going on with the hosts----they are all about personal stories,  yap yap yap and no nformaiton about the products except to tell you to put it in your cart becasue it will sell out.  How can anyone put is in the cart without understanding the product features? This is not selling, this is completely about showmanship

Jane Traecy has become rude, takes over the show and does not permit the product presenter to speak, tired of hearing about her girls and nothing about the product. She no longer details lengths, sizes and what ever she says is basically without thought. Why is she on?  Shawn Killlnger is a flake, a fruitcake, and adds nothing but mystic descriptions with no  understanding of what she is selling.  Her pseudo british accent when selling pom pom, elton john candles, etc make me sick.  She is a phony and I turn her off the minute her program begins.  This bit where she takes the viewer in her dressing room and takes her orange faced makeup  off and black eye shadows with the large plastic glasses off--------need I say more  No, I would not buy the makeup she wears and no I would not buy the products she raves about----------can't trust her and now I tune her out!

The worst of all, and as soon as I hear his voice, I shut it down.  Whether he is selling mattresses, food, or jewelry------------he is a chronic used car salesman and his voice and personality are offensive. Rick Dommier.  I refuse to watch or listen to anything he says.

QVC used to be an easy watch and if you just want to drink a cup of coffee and see what is going on in fashion and other items, it can be fun. What happened and why are the hosts completely void of product knowledge and presentation.?

Mally is a waste of time--------she spends too much time in the love fest approach that I can not deciper anything she has to say.  Go back to applying make up Mally becasue you are not effective in product presentaiton.

QVC needs to tidy up their selling acts

Yes.  Without naming names, there are many hosts I will not watch, no matter what they're selling.

And there are only 4 I can think of right now that I do watch if they're on.  Due to the hosts, I'm fairly limited in what I'll watch on QVC.  Ha.
