@We rescue cats I used to know the "Oldie Goldies", but all the newer ones are nothing special...the long time ones are boring now,
As am I @Shanus, as am I. . .

Yes, Pat D., Leah, Jayne B. and sometimes David. These are the only hosts I watch. they are professional and don't act stupid, foolish or immature.

I have to give credit to Mary for how she presented the TSV at midnight. I stayed up because I need a new laptop and wanted to hear the specs. Between Mary and the vendor, they covered nearly every topic I could think of in a clear and professional way. No hard sell. In fact, Mary posed some of her own questions and also asked some that customers had texted. I was impressed when someone asked about gaming and the vendor gave a forthright answer that this laptop is not for high level gamers. It reminded me of the past when hosts and vendors would spend time with a product.

@nascarfan. Any host ought to be able to sell any product. I r3member Kathy Levine once selling a folding fishing pole, if you can imagine that. She pulled it off just fine.
Little did she know she was going to marry a guy whose hobby is deep sea fishing. She could now probably write a book about it now.

@Kachina624 so true, I remember that. Kathy Levine was a HOOT! In those days the hosts knew and did everything! For the first few years KL said they even helped pack items in shipping, took orders on phones when they needed help. They were highly groomed by the vendors. The Hosts knew, used all products! Today, I don't think the Hosts are trained as rigorously in product knowledge. Before, they had required Host meetings a couple times a week and when new products were launched. They had demos, and tried each oroduct. In those days there was no internet to check product description . We relied totally on Host to demo, show and explain each product. Kathy Levine once said she learned to sell and describe each item as if the buyer was sight impaired. But IMHO none of us shouldn't have to rely on the internet site to get measurements. It's fine ro check internet info to get extra detail and such.. It should only be an option. The Hosts have time to describe product in detail it's their job!! They can just quit talking about family, kids, vacations.....
