Although that may be the stragegy, I don't see QVC or any shopping channel attracting younger--teens/20s/30s--viewers.  Are those age brackets interested in Dyson's, endless anti-aging beauty products, overpriced clothing, etc., etc.????

Too many other shopping options unlike when QVC, et al started.

I agree there is no way my early 30's daughters shop from a shopping channel.  I have also seen your picture, you are tiny and have a great figure, not average for the older age group!  I mean that in the nicest way!

QVC is absolutely marketing to those of a certain age 🙂.  Just like Chicos, Talbots, Appleseeds and Coldwater Creek.

More of midrange in pricing and offering many plus sized items.

I am 74 and I know it and often appreciate it.

None of my kids will go near this place.

I believe they are now attempting to attract a younger audience, and it makes perfect business sense since their most RELIABLE demographic is aging!😁 Our buying power is a given, but the more youthful consumers have SO many more options available to them. The Q has NO choice but to try to compete for their shopping dollars.😊 Some of the designers like Kim Gravel, are now offering fashions that appeal to  both.🥰

I have never done so, but I have seen other posters recommend messaging specific designers with suggestions on their social media pages. I think Louis Dell'Olio and a few others through the years have responded favorably and offered some of the requested items; longer length, shorter length, more colors, etc...🥰

Perhaps The Q will too.🤞🤞

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post.😃🌸

So far,  can't tell they're trying to target a younger audience at all.  I agree that some of the items offered by Kim are a bit younger looking.  I do like her shorts especially.  I just wish the other brands, especially those owned by the Q would really offer some more youthful garments...and I'm 50 lol.

Maybe if people message like you said, it might make a difference.😃🌸

I couldn't agree more.  That age is never going to shop the Q!  I can't even see this being a strategy they're using based on the clothes being offered lol.  I don't know why folks keep saying this is their new approach.😃🌸

I don't think younger means 20-30 yo.

For Q it probably means 40-55 yo. vs 55-75+ yo

I don't get frustrated with QVC because I mostly shop where they sell things that I like and wear.  And now days, it's most often not QVC.

I like more modern styles, fewer prints than they sell, and the main reason is I buy natural fabrics they don't sell many of now, and their clothes run pretty big in some fit areas for me, even petites.

And there is a price/quality issue I am not so comfortable buying from them now.  I can't depend on what I am ordering.

So, you're saying, like me, you'd like to see more modern styles, prints, and fabrics and that the prices and quality are not good as well.  🌸

These are the reasons I get frustrated sometimes.  I wear a very small size too.  By the time a garment I do like gets to a decent clearance price, my size is always gone.😔

I just posted this because I've read so many threads where posters mentioned the younger demographic factor and reason for high prices.  I was just wondering what others thought about this.

Sounds as though we enjoy the same styles and fabrics.  Thank you for taking the time to respond.💝🌸

@cheriere No I am saying whatever QVC does is what QVC does and I don't care.  I am saying I buy where I find the clothing and quality I like to wear.

Why on earth would I care what QVD does?  It's not my problem.  I buy where I find what I want.

Lol, thank you.  Believe me though I always say I'm the most outta shape thin person you've ever seen.😂

I completely agree that young people are never going to buy the clothes offered here.  I don't know why I keep reading posts saying that's their new strategy, thus another reason for higher prices lol.

Funny enough, in that picture I'm QVC head to toe, PLW clearance jeans, Belle tank top, Fly London Shoes!  Only my friends here would understand this outfit lol.😃🌸

I don't think QVC caters to younger shoppers either. Prices are higher on the Q and many younger shoppers that I know prefer to shop Amazon, Kohl's, Penney's, Macy, etc but on line rather than in store.
