I like more modern styles, fewer prints than they sell, and the main reason is I buy natural fabrics they don't sell many of now, and their clothes run pretty big in some fit areas for me, even petites.
And there is a price/quality issue I am not so comfortable buying from them now. I can't depend on what I am ordering.
So, you're saying, like me, you'd like to see more modern styles, prints, and fabrics and that the prices and quality are not good as well. 🌸
These are the reasons I get frustrated sometimes. I wear a very small size too. By the time a garment I do like gets to a decent clearance price, my size is always gone.😔
I just posted this because I've read so many threads where posters mentioned the younger demographic factor and reason for high prices. I was just wondering what others thought about this.
Sounds as though we enjoy the same styles and fabrics. Thank you for taking the time to respond.💝🌸
@cheriere No I am saying whatever QVC does is what QVC does and I don't care. I am saying I buy where I find the clothing and quality I like to wear.
Why on earth would I care what QVD does? It's not my problem. I buy where I find what I want.
Wow! My initial post says I like the same type of clothes that you mentioned in your response post.
It also was about how I didn't think the Q was selling clothes younger people would want to buy.

That's just how I feel too. I know my cousins kids wouldn't be interested in anything here. They're all about the stores you mentioned and shopping online lol.💝🌸

@granddi Your post are the words right out of my mouth. I was getting ready to post the same thought.
Q is not going for the teens/20's/30. Their preferred demographic I think are those in their 40's/50's/60's. They have discretionary income, are interested in what Q sells and still working needing clothes, etc.
Those of us 70 and above are mostly retired, not spending the income we have as it is not discretionary as it will not be replentished by salary and is pretty much fixed We have very little need for more of anything as we have accomulated over our lifetime and our goals for most would be on downsizing our possessions.
I still buy more than I should at Q because I like certain brands at Q and am not interested in shopping around to see what is out there as I am really trying to cut down on accumulating

QVC is stuck in the mud with old clothing vendors, old styles, and some image of people buying stuff because it is sold as cheaper--not nicer.
They have not changed with the world since the last century. And paying to ship every single item separately? Who else does that?

@KathyM23 I'm sure you're right! When I think of younger, I automatically think 20s/30s. But at 74, 40's and 50s' are "younger"---LOL!!!

@cheriere I don't have a lot of luck in stores so I have found some styles on the Q in the Denim & Co brand that suit my taste. I do pay more for them because I like the quality. Occasionally I will find something in stores so I just shop around.

When the boomers are gone, me included, then what? To me things seem like the lifeboats have started to descend.

The yonger generation doesn't even know what QVC is. They could care less about sale channels on TV?

My thoughts exactly.🌸

Many shoppers here are not in their 20's and 30's, but older with more expendable income. Possibly retired, kids gone. People younger are at work, tending the kids, no time for QVC shopping.
Well that's what I always thought too. That's why I've been confused by posts saying QVC is aiming for a new, young audience. I just can't ever see that happening.
@cheriere @Another new name Sue
To put it bluntly, in 20 years many of us will no long shopping anywhere and they're going to have to find new customers to replace us.
I see evidence of this in the nonsensical behavior of the hosts, the endless supply of sleeveless long dresses and the emphasis on jeans, in every color and style, among other things.
I agree that the younger people are not tuned to shopping on TV. So what should QVC do to lure them in? I'm sure they've had and will continue to have multiple committees working on this issue.
