I did have 3rd row center at the LV Ne Night Only.
I’ve met some other singers and celebs but not them.
Or Barry. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

@Goldengate8361  @bikerbabe. Be careful what you ask for...  @dulwich didn't like Sir Paul much when I asked her, but she loved The Lovely Linda.  I still haven't recovered from my disappointment at her reply..... 😢

😂 It's ok. I've met a few jerks. Doesn't bother me. I'm not naive. 😂

@bikerbabe  Well I've met tons of jerks. But if I ever met Sir Paul, I sure wouldn't want him to be one of them!  Being the discreet person she is, @dulwich  never elaborated on her response.

Awe, I’m sorry @Pearlee

No; I’d never ask someone to break a confidence or spill gossip. You just don’t do that. I was just curious if she had met any of them. They are among a couple of people I would have liked to have met. I always crushed on Barry. 😂 It amazes me some people don’t realize the depth of their song catalog over the decades and their natural harmonies just get me.

@Pearlee Reminds me of a bit from I'm sure a Beatles tune, "Good morning Mr. Leach have you had a busy day?"

@Love my grandkids  I'm not recalling that. From what song? If you don't know maybe @Witchy Woman or @GrailSeeker  does?

No, sorry, I cannot place that phrase.

edited to add: Simon and Garfunkel?  Hmmm.

O.k. loved Linda and we worked quite a few gigs with Wings - I did not dislike the Beatles music but did not appreciate  the way - how to put this - some of the 'not so important' workers were spoken to and treated.

Concerts and tours are really hard work and our roadies, sparks, T shirt sellers, etc., etc., are the best - would be no shows without them, for example , after shows taking down all the gear, loading onto trucks, then travelling overnight to get to next gig ready for when the band arrives then repeating it all again night after night.

Anyhow, unfortunately I am the kind of 'cut off your nose to spite your face' person so tend to express my feelings with - as DH so often says - to whoever I hear being belittling or not treating any workers with respect no matter who it is - so there you go.  We never lost work and we had a great team.

After a lot of years working to only have 5 'stars' I would never go to see again  is not too bad.   This does not mean I dislike their music - on stage they are fantastic - they know their craft and give great shows - DH was the best at 'soothing' people and he hated rock n roll loves opera!   Crazy man crazy.

P.s.  Met Maurice Gibb few times. not in concert -  he came quite often to same  clubs in London we attended - he was a big drinker but lots of fun a nice person.

@dulwich. Thank you. I truly wasn't trying to obtain more info from you, but this is helpful to know regarding your past comments. Too funny about DH and the music!  I hadn't known that before.

BTW, once at a Moody Blues concert while waiting for them to go on, I chatted quite a while with one of the security guards that had also done security for Sir Paul when he played there. He didn't speak too highly of Paul either,  but it had to do with Paul's hygiene or rather lack thereof.

When I saw the wonderful documentary on HBO about the Bee Gees, I really liked Maurice, who commented a lot. I was impressed with him and he seemed like a nice person (formerly married to Lulu!).

Thanks again. I would have loved to have been on that London scene with you and DH.

@dulwich

Sounds like you have some terrific memories.
Nice to hear Maurice was a good guy. I know he went through rehab several times and he was quite open about it. I recall he did a documentary on it years ago because he said he hoped it would help others.
