Q card extended payment plan.

I put the i Rumba on the nine month payment plan which I figured would be about $45. a month.   I was surprised to see they billed me the whole $402, amount on my Q card so I called them.  This is what he told me and I just want to pass it along because many of you might be thinking like I did that is was like easy pay.

It is not easy pay.   They bill the whole charge on your card.  What you have to do is when you pay the regular charges your money goes to that.  Then whatever is left is applied to the nine month  payment.   I had charges of $210. which I paid and then added $90 which goes toward the Rumba.  This is fine with me but I think many of us might still think this is like easy pay and it is not.

So i hope this info helps.

That's interesting.  I bet it's because it's offered by the card, not the q.  Thanks for the info.  I tried to use it once and got a message saying something to the effect I wasn't qualified.  I didn't care that much about it and used six easy pays instead.

@Bookbabe Thank you the clarification.  I was actually on the phone just last evening with the bank questioning how I'd be billed for items purchased with the special financing option and it was not explained to me quite that way, but I figured I'd wait until I get my first statement to see.

I just can't imagine trying to figure out what ur paying for on ur credit card-- especially when u return items. It's very challenging. I never used EZ - prefer to pay my bill in full each month. I rarely buy anything lately - as my large closet is FULL.

Seems to me that you ought to have the easy pay option if you want it.  This Synchrony Bank will use every trick in the book to get some interest charges on this Roomba.  You should be given the option.

@Bookbabe   It's not rumba like the dance; it's Roomba like the robot

@Bookbabe

How stupid for QVC to design a payment plan without informing the customers (and customer service people) how it works.  Why couldn't it be like Easy Pay but divided up into 9 or 12 payments--would that be too much to ask?????????
