You just knew some of those teams were going to be a hot mess.

I cannot believe I'm saying this, but I felt sorry for Merline.  That dress was so ill-fitting.

The swimsuit ensemble was downright ugly.   Tim suggested the swimsuit and Nina asked why a swimsuit?

Funny how the week after their victory, the first 2 challenge winners made hideous garments.

Tim suggested a sunsuit not a swimsuit. I Didn't like the winner's cape, but then I'm not a fan of capes. I would have given the win to the India team.

Tim did suggest the swimsuit.  Edmond wanted a swimsuit but Hanmaio did not. She mentioned the fabric had no stretch. When Tim suggested one, Edmond had a "told you so" look on his face.

This is from Nick Verreos' blog

"But, oh Edmond and Hanmaio. The directive was to make a day-to-night look that could work while touring the streets of a Caribbean island and then transitioning to the Captain’s Dinner back on the ship. This outfit was none of that. Nina said it was, “HIDEOUS!” and asked, “Why the swimsuit?” I seem to recall that Tim may have had something to do with this when during his check-in. He suggested--or at least reinforced--to Edmond and Hanmaio that they make one. Maybe he assumed it would be a well-designed one as opposed to the non-stretch badly-sewn top and panty bottoms we were forced to stare at on the runway. Nevertheless, Tim's semi-silence on the swimsuit subject was deafening. At least to me."

i did not care for the winning team's look. the big loopy drapey thing in back - the scale was off but the backless idea was good. it made no sense and then putting a capelet over it.  the pants were  highwaters.   i would have made a kind of back-pack style tote instaed of the capelet

i liked Swapnil's team look the best

i do think the right designer went home, but Edmund was lucky he had immunity. their outfit was hideous.

I can believe it, cause I felt sorry for her too. She's sweet... talky, but very sweet. While her partner was a boring bully. I was worried that she might get eliminated if it came out just how much she had let her partner make all the decisions at the expense of her own creative input. -- And that Louis Vuitton guy is just making a bunch of old lady dresses... they age everyone by 10-20 years.

I've always liked Nick. He seems like a straight shooter without an agenda, so I was pleased at his comment. I kept waiting for Tim to mention that he had encouraged the swimsuit idea.

Form my perspective, I thought that Edmond was really trying to be collaborative but that she kept telling him to "shut up" over an over again.... geez, once would have been more than enough for me.

She wanted to be argumentative, didn't want to listen and wanted to fuss to the limit.

For me the final straw was when she hussled the model into the bathroom (?) and sewed her into that hideous excuse for a swimsuit while Edmond was waiting around with the second (better) swimsuit. She made sure that the model had no chance to try on Edmond's swimsuit... because if it looked better then she had nothing of her own to show on the runway.

I'm so glad she's gone. She was a piece of work.

I liket the two top looks, Swapnil's being one of them, but nothing really stood out. I can't even remember what the winning look was!

Swapnil is a sweetheart.

Tim suggested a swimsuit not a sunsuit.  On the PR website there are some interesting comments about Tim and what some perceive as his Machiavellian comments.

Personally I think the Greek Isles jumpsuit by Blake and Kelly should have been in the top 3.

Blake Patterson's and Kelly Dempsey's Season 14 Episode 3 Final Look

To those who think Tim should have spoken up --

We don't know that he didn't.  I believe Tim is consulted during the judging and gives his insights to the judges.  He may even review some of the behaviour during the designing/sewing and may make his perceptions known.  He is there for a reason.  We don't necessarily see everything that goes on off camera.
