While the minimum wage may have gone up a little, most salaried jobs have not............and  thats why we notice, our dollar doesnt go as far..........

Please watch your prices at Costco on largee appliances/eleectronics... they are not always the cheapest....my friend shopped for TV's , Best Buy beat Costgo on her 55 inch Samsung TV....and that was Best Buys regualr price not a sale price either....

They did have some nice furniture --- cabinets, dressers etc, good prices on small appliances....and i love their Kirklands popcorn...

What the whole tariff thing is about, is the US is getting the shaft on many products.  And don't forget the other countries are going to be paying higher prices too.....its not a one way street....The US wants these countries to sit down and re-nogitate the deals so every country gets a fair price......

Sadly cakers, everything has gone up. Everything.  I shop whole foods, traders and my local Raleys.  Raleys has really raised prices.  Since I am in there a few times a week, I really notice things I buy all the time.  The company puts less in can, or cuts an ounce or two off package here and there, then  Raleys raises the price.  A can that used to be a pound is 15 ounces or less.  Many pounds of bacon are not a pound, lol

As anyone who has set foot in a supermarket in the past

couple of years can tell you, food prices are up — way up.

To some extent, food manufacturers are facing the same

challenges as consumers: Raw materials are more

expensive, transportation costs higher, resources scarcer.

The reality is, if you look at USDA projections, food is

going to get more expensive. And as a result, food

companies are going to do one of two or three things..

Raise prices and keep packages the same, or reduce the

quantity in the package. Or do a little of both.

You are right look at the size of the Dove ice cream bars--and you only get 3 in package.  And the Nestle ice cream drumsticks are a shadow of their former selves..........(yes I love ice cream and treat myself once in awhile)....

The prices for coffee at that Seattle-based coffee chain are my pet peeve. Their coffee was always overpriced IMO, and it keeps getting higher. 

I just do the math. Say $5 a day, and you buy a cup 300 days out of the year (a conservative estimate for some). That's $1,500 a year on take-out coffee!!

I can think of many other ways l would rather spend my $$$.

The Best Buy where I live in Oxnard, CA has the worst at Customer Svce - tons of complaints on-line - I would never shop there.

For a 24" Samsung flat screen tv - I paid $109. last year from Costco on-line.

For my 40" Samsung flat screen tv - I paid $300. 2-1/2 yrs ago from Costco on-line.

I would never order a leather loveseat from any website - only from Costco - as I trust them.I wouldn't buy a leather loveseat from any of the local furniture stores in my area even if I could sit on it and check it out - as they don't help u if there are problems later. 

I rarely have to return anything to Costco---best customer service!!!!!

...and those great Rotisserie Chickens - 3 lbs. for $5.00 --- I never leave without one.

I also bought 3 beautiful pairs of 14KT gold earrings on-line. 2 pairs of hoops and 1 pair of studs. Low Prices!!!!
