...and those great Rotisserie Chickens - 3 lbs. for $5.00 --- I never leave without one.
I also bought 3 beautiful pairs of 14KT gold earrings on-line. 2 pairs of hoops and 1 pair of studs. Low Prices!!!!

It also depends where you are living in US too....Ive bought computers/laptops/tablets and a small TV for my bedroom, even a vacuum from Best Buy and I always received excellent service....One time my PC was acting up and I took it to Best Buy and I didnt even have their Geek Squad at the time, it was also beyond the warranty....and it just needed some minor adjustment and they didn't even charge me.....I found the CS to be friendly, helpful and informative

Im not knocking Costco they have some good bargains, and I know the COSTCO stores here are always JAMMED PACKED!!! So a lot of people are happy with them like you are....Happy Shopping!

The cost of eating out seems more expensive too. I’ve cut out just stopping in and grabbing a sandwich or coffee as often.

Yesterday we were in the QVC Outlet in Lancaster, PA. I was suprised with the price of most items - seemed very high for the outlet. In the past, the weekly sales were great reductions. I noticed that the price of the clothing and shoes was reduced very little - no real bargains. I have been shopping there for several years and always got great prices - not any more.

I was never one for Starbucks or Dunkin coffee, I used to by mine at the local convenience store and stopped that. Even though it was less than $2 a day, it still added up at the end of the year.

I like Starbucks coffee (don't care for the flavored coffee drinks).

I stopped buying coffee when I'm out. I choose to make POTS

of coffee at home. I've been purchasing large bags of Starbucks

coffee beans at Sams Club for under $20.

Also, increase in minimum wage has caused things to go up as well. I went to Mod Pizza and noticed a $1 increase and was told it was due to minimum wage going up. I went to my favorite local coffee shop and my 16 oz latte is now over $6 when it was $3.75! They said it was due to increased minimum wage but they also wanted to give an equal increase for those employees already making over minimum wage. But, everyone's salaries are not going up. Everyone wasn't making minimum wage. I feel like there are some folks who are caught in the lower part of middle class who are really going to suffer.

And good for you about the coffee. I wouldn't want want to spend over 6 bucks for a latte either.

Hubby and I went to Sonic for a malt the other day, and 2 were over 8 bucks! I thought that was ridiculous.

@Denise in PA At least living in the Lancaster,Pa area in the summer you have the opportunity to buy a lot of locally grown straight from the farmers. Many years ago we lived in Strousberg and I enjoyed shoppoing at the farm stands. We had those in Pittsburgh too but they didn't have nearly the variety of the Lancaster area farms.

If the increase in prices is really due to an increase in minimim wage salaries, I dont mind. But how do you know its true? That could be their standard line they were told to say from corporate. People do need to make a living wage. But if Im paying so the CEO can get a $4 million bonus, Im not shopping there anymore!!
