Re: Pretty George simonton top but...

Not all polyester is created equal. When I travel I pack some polyester items.

While natural fibers may breathe, they also wrinkle, stretch out particularly in the seat or knees, many must be dry cleaned and those that can be washed, tend to shrink a bit.

Polyester does not wrinkle, can be rinsed in the sink, dries quickly and holds it shape.

Polyester does not always mean cheap.

I think her point is .... You want a name on your poly then you pay for it. Go to a Target or Wally or anywhere else and you are going to pay for a poly because people don't want to iron and send stuff out to be dry cleaned. Whole different breed now. No need to be grumpy about it.

What material would you like for them to use? The choices are not limitless. They could use silk but the price point would be well over $100. That's why Bob Mackie gave up making items out of silk. The miracle of polyester is that they can make it to imitate just about any other fabric. Nylon could be used but it's hotter than poly.

i don't really care what fabric they use - i just want it to be appropriately priced. Sheesh. Typical of this BB - totally do not read or comprehend the OP then run off with snark about something that is totally off the point. $52 is not APPROPRIATE price for a polyester blouse.

Well, take it up with QVC about their pricing...and while your at it, the topic might be better suited for the Fashion Forums. Perhaps you can find some like-minded posters there!
