dear preds and friends
@geezerette @MyShadowLove @Yahooey
I opened the sliding glass basement window and "duct taped" the big hole in ripped screen on "west" side of my house(.A nearby corn field is on other side of a neighbors yard! )
Maybe a coon got chased by something?????
I have made sure i locked the window again.
The only way anthing could get in is by breaking the glass window!
A bit ago i went outside and i rechecked looking down over the curved metal shield above ground and looked down at window.
No human footprints in wet dirt down by window!......just a couple very small imprints???
Neighbor lady also looked and was very startled at the size of hole ripped in window screen near top!
I also checked basement window on east side of my house and its is ok!
lubs ya!

That was scary seeing that coyote in road...you were very lucky it didn't atempted to charge you ,etc! Glad your elderly neighbor called you then animal control!
Living so close to the cornfield and timber on other side of field...ya never know what u or i will see?
I have seen raccons coming into my yard, i believe living in trees in my yard, also have seen a possume a few times,a fox plus groundhog and coyotes
!oh and deer, and few years ago a mountain lion!Smelled a skunk scent a few years ago also!
At times a little scary..right?

@cowboy sam ...It's actually fascinating to see the various wildlife; however, they are getting closer and closer to neighborhoods due to the fact that us humans are destroying their natural habitats and, therefore, they end up in residential neighborhoods...Not far from us, we had a couple of beautiful large wooded areas...Then along comes a builder who had to destroy one of the wooded areas to build a large area of apartment complexes....Do you think that was enough for the builder?...Of course not!...Next thing we see is the other wooded area being destroyed also so that the builder could put up more homes.
So that leaves the various wildlife with their natural habitats totally destroyed and so they end up wandering around the residential areas and looking for somewhere else to live...It is so sad and tragic really and a sensitive issue for me!
One time, we saw a beautiful Bobcat and her two precious Cubs passing along one side of our house going towards the wooded area behind our neighborhood and they were headed up towards an area that becomes more heavily wooded, so I think they had a den located there...It was a gorgeous touching sight!
So, anyhow, those small imprints that you saw by your basement window were obviously from a small animal that, for whatever reason, tore at your screen...There are nocturnal creatures that roam around at night also...Woooooooooo!!! lol
Hope you are having a nice relaxing day...It is rainy here and I've been doing some laundry and just relaxing after a busy week....We are roasting a chicken for dinner and will have green beans and carrots and some stuffing....perfect day for it!...I'll have a plate delivered to you!
Lubs Ya!

@MyShadowLove that was such a well written and on target synopsis of wildlife versus humans. Thank you for providing us me with that perspective.

it is really loves fault
she refuses to built a moat around her home
she insists on giving them a beautiful bedroom with soft linens and wouldnt take my suggestion of burlap linens - it exfoliates as you sleep
she feeds them delish fudz - who would want to leave paradise?
i dont fault them in the least

@Tique ...That is so sweet of you!...It has always been such a sensitive and concerning issue for me and touches my heart deeply...I'm not always necessarily all that well adept at expressing myself at times so I really appreciate your thoughtful words.
Whenever I see you, it always brings back such great memories of the fun times many of us had on the very popular "This Is Us" thread...great posters sharing our feelings and viewpoints with each passing episode...I haven't seen the poster "LoriLori" who always shared such interesting workings that went on behind the scenes of the series...I noted that the last time she posted was back in 2020...I sure hope that all is well with her.
Thank you so much again for your kind words.
