@MyShadowLove : After the failure of several different brands lasting less than 5 years including a Whirlpool accumulated rust and I take care of my washers leaving the lid open to dry and wiping out with towels. DH purchased a speed queen washer and dryer but expensive and recommended by service repairman.

@SouthernBee ...Yes, I've heard and read a lot about Speed Queen also...being a simpler model but doing a great job...I will just have to check into the various brands  when I go to the store on Monday and, once I actually see ones that I'm interested in and can tell how well they are made, then I will just have to take my chances and pick one that meets my needs...I still have the weekend to continue with my research study...Such fun! 😅

@MyShadowLove , I am of no help on the washing machine front. Our's in Ohio we have had for years and years. I refused to upgrade it because there wasn't anything wrong with it (workhorse) and new appliances are such a gamble anymore. The washer and dryer here came with the house. Maytag. No issues so far.

@MyShadowLove : Spent yesterday waiting for someone from the assigned distribution center to call about the fridge. I stayed in my recliner wishing the throw had already been delivered. I spent the time paying bills, getting caught up on my Bible reading and a few naps. DH kept looking at me but didn't say anything and I didn't say anything. Sadly no one called. So I assume that Monday hopefully they will call and prefer early.

I totally understand what you are dealing with trying to decide what brand of washer to purchase. I finally decided to go to the store and see what was available and with a quick delivery date.🤗

@SouthernBee ...I am in utter disbelief over all of the refrigerator problems you have been dealing with for so long now...first your old one which you ended up replacing and now you are even having issues with your new refrigerator...Did you go through the same dealer when you bought your new one?

I've narrowed down my choices for a new washer and will be heading out Monday to one of the box chain stores and then I am also going to a well-known and highly-rated appliance store not far from us...I think that many of us are so used to dealing with the usual big box chain stores that we tend to forget about our local appliance stores where quality can actually be better and service definitely better.

Wishing you a well-deserved relaxing weekend! Heart

@MyShadowLove : Thank you. Still dealing with the same people -Lowe's.

Our local mom and pop store didn't have anything on display for me to see and their orders are giving a date for three month delivery. I have used them before for all of my washers and dryers. Friend that has used them said her niece had a bad experience with her fridge last year and took months to settle everything. Plus noticed their repairman no longer excellent.

What really is upsetting is  to look at the sticker price and then considering how things are now made that the appliance may last 5 years before any problems or hopefully last longer.

The salesman for my new fridge said that I did good to have 6 years without problems on the old fridge. So the problems started 7 months later.

Hi Y'all: I couldn't eat my cabbage soup for breakfast and will eat it later. I decided to roast some vegetables in the air fryer. DH stated he still prefers the veggies roasted in the oven. My reply of course : It is more difficult and takes longer in the oven. I had to purchase a little heavier set of baking sheets to use in the oven to keep them from popping and warping in the oven. If I find a quicker and easier way to cook something - DH never likes the results .Sorry but I will use the airfryer. You have two choices: You cook or go out to eat.DH went in the other room.😀😀😀

Tomorrow it will be easy cooking. I will do vegetable beef soup and grilled cheese. I have decided that I will eat a bigger bowl of soup with 1\2 of a grilled cheese sandwich. DH has plans to eat out 4 days next week.

Me praying the fridge issue will be solved and finished .

So what are you doing? Enjoy your weekend.
