Rooster arrived but is now a capon
the handle was chipped
the box was dented where the handle is placed
the shipping box looked fine
GRRRRR
so I wrote to the company and waiting

@Yahooey Sorry you received your pot that way. It really is a beautiful piece. I can sympathize because a lot of my orders the last couple of months, have had something damaged. Recently, I ordered 8, beautiful, white marble coasters from Nordstrom. Of course, 2 were chipped because of their neglect in packaging them. I had to return all of them. They were soooo pretty.
I hope they'll rectify the problem.
Also, I hope you enjoyed today. The weather is beautiful!😘

@loves chocolate, Oh my dear Lovely. I am so sorry to hear of your dear brother’s medical issues. I hope and pray for his healing. I have a DB myself, so I know how much you love and care for him. I will hoping that your brother’s doctors are guided by the Great Physician, you can bet.

@Yahooey Didn't they bubble wrap the pot? Usually Staub, Le Creuset and William Sonoma are good as far as fixing these issues. They usually ask you to either take a pic and e mail it to them and then replace the top or sometimes, they even tell you to keep the pot and send you another one! I usually ask them to send a complaint to the quality control dept.. This way, hopefully, again hopefully, it won't or will hardly happen to anyone again.
Hope you hear from them either tonight or tomorrow.

the pot is in the Staub box and then placed into a larger brown box with a single bubble around to fill in the negative space - but the shipping box is fine.
so the damage to the pot was done at the warehouse which is what I told them
I bought it directly from the company
