Good Morning Y'all: Can't sleep was it the chocolate or because my mind is spinning? It's amazing how I can totally forget something and then boom. So my carpet is very old and filled with ripples. Yesterday was looking at the dirty carpet and said that I need to get it cleaned . I have tried to manually keep the high traffic areas cleaned but just can't do it anymore. Woke up around midnight thinking that I need to add something to my Walmart delivery scheduled this morning between 10 and 11. DH had told me that I couldn't replace the carpet until after the new year. What did I suddenly remember? The last time that I had my carpet cleaned by my regular guy, he said it's past time to get new carpet because he would be afraid to try and clean it one more time because it would probably start ripping or pulling apart.😮😮

So what did I add to my Walmart order?  A carpet cleaner.

Was this all caused by my widow lady friend that called and stated she wanted to come over around 10:30 this morning?? She had previously and very rude told me that my carpet looked ok and didn't need replacing.😮😮

I hope that all of Preds friends are in a very deep sleep and no scary dreams.🤗🤗

If I had known you were awake at that hour, I would have joined you here!  I fell asleep early for a couple of hours and then was awake the rest of the night, which is not unusual for me.  I watched TV for a while and then read.

My carpet is very old and needed replacing years ago.  I have no intention of replacing it.  I hope to be able to sell and move in the next couple of years and I'm doing as little as possible around here until then.  Let the next guy replace and repair what they want.  I have an old Bissell carpet cleaner that I use when it gets unbearably awful looking, but I can't handle it like I used to either.  Lots of things I can't handle anymore.

Good job on resisting the chocolate for so long!  I admit I bought a little of it myself yesterday.  I'm not sure why, other than the idea of it being Halloween was stuck in my head.  I don't eat much candy anymore.

Right now i should be vacuuming but i   have been useing my small car like vac to pick up crumbs i accidently drop on carpet.

We had rain  turning to snow yesterday afternoon  and got 2-3 inches of "snow"!

Had maybe 12 kids...

I gave out 2 packages of hot dark chocolate mix...to each of them...and one dad i gave him 4 pkgs  as we talked about the snow!

one parent  a mom...told me her kids were asking for some when they got back home  before they came to my house!

After 7 pm  neighbor called to ask me to walk with her for a short walk....i told her i didn't give out candy  but  gaveout the pkgs of dark chocolate cocoa mix.

She told me that ...."most kids prefer the the milk chocolate instead  of dark chocolate."...

huh????😡🤬 i said...really? SMH!

Thats odd as i told each kid what i was giving them...and not one of them said they would like candy instead!

and I changed the subject!

I  had a couple  small pieces of  salty  water taffy!  yummy..lol

lol..he is a roofer by trade   working for his dad... plus  has his own mowing service  and gutter cleaning as a side job!

  a small bird  had nest in  west front gutter  that didn't fit good...so he   replaced gutter guard it with another  piece from someone elses  old gutters that he replaced w/new ones..so now no more birdy nesting there!

He was done in under 15 minutes  and now gone!

I was so thankful that i told him i wanted to hug him..

and he chuckled and gave me a bear hug!🤗

I iz smiling so big right now!

I'm jealous.  I would like hugs from young men too!  More than that, I'd rather have the young men doing work for me!

@geezerette @cowboy sam ...LOL...So now it all comes out!...Our cowboy sam is actually a devilish little "cougar"!...Of course, now that we look back, it is so very obvious as you do talk about your mower an awful lot...You may want to consider having him taking care of your driveway and steps during the Winter months too?...You won't have to go so long without seeing him! 😂

dear preds  and friends

November o1  and my sunny ..41 degrees  and snow has melted..we had 2-3 inches 

but stopped before kids came trick or treating...i had maybe 10-12 kids!

The married couple are taking me up on my invitation by buying a evening meal   for us"Thursday early evening " to a different place : a tavern/dining room with a salad bar  plus specials each night...think chicken/ribs then.

She called to confirm  minutes ago and then  she was going to call for reservations for us...as its a small place.
