and danks for the video

they have a lot of animals in that home

i think 3 cats and 4 dogs and the other creatures

since Penny's voice is her daughter - the voice is growing up

not quite so babyish anymore -

@Yahooey ...Since you are our Chef de Cuisine, I would love for you to share your Chili recipe with us when you have the time. 😋

Yes, Penny's "meowmy" is definitely kept busy with her ever-growing  diversified family...never know what will show up next...I love how creative and entertaining her website is...just adorable! Heart

@MyShadowLove

i dont remember where I got this from.... I brown the meat 1-2 lbs.... drain grease and brown the onions (1cup) ..... I basically dump everything and simmer at least 1 hour up to 2 hrs

I add a can of diced tomatoes - a can of green chillies - a jar of marinara sauce - a can of kidney beans - a can of pinto beans - 1 TBS of chii seasoning + salt to taste

I make my own chili seasoning - i didnt want to invest in a jar of seasoning since i didnt know whether i would be making more chili in the future - i bought canned chili - this concoction is pretty good to me - 1 TBS of the chili powder or more or less

i received a free packet of McCormick's chili seasoning and i like mine a lot better

make it ur own - add more cayene pepper or more paprika - sometimes i add an add'l TBS of paprika to the chili.... it is very forgiving

what is ur chili recipe?

Evening greetings, ⭐️Preds⭐️ Friends!

@KBEANS, What a wonderful plan for your anniversary!  How thoughtful your husband is. Don't you love that kind of surprise!  My late husband and I had a tradition of going to a charming little B&B in a community that had a rustic music center nestled in a tiny rural area in Virginia.  We had the chance to attend the weekend concert, visit the local shops, and relax at that lovely B&B.  There's something so cozy and special about the care taken with decor and hospitality, and getting to know the owners and the guests.  Good wishes for next weekend!

@Yahooey, A tiramisu  birthday "cake" sounds perfect to me! I think "we eat large " is an understatement.  Your family has major cooking/baking skills, dedication, and artistry I can only admire from afar.  A powdered donut cake???  What???  I'm so glad y'all had a happy day.

@MyShadowLove and @Yahooey, The pancake/pumpkin/turkey sis saga continues and gave me a chuckle.  Too bad we have those, and also the interlopers, to contend with, but at least we can smile and appreciate all the other folks who are pleasant and life-enhancing.

@cowboy sam, Glad you located that earring... but I can't even think about wearing anything remotely resembling a spider.  I have a major phobia about bugs, and spiders are the worst for me.  Can't even tolerate pics of them.  Wish I could get over that.

@SouthernBee, Our weather suddenly changed to lovely temps in the 60s, 50s, 40s... a cool, gentle breeze, and oh I am so happy!

I hope all is well with everyone!  Love to all who read and post here.❤️

I'm glad your brother's birthday celebration was a hit. Everything sounds so delicious.

It was very nice of you to cook up a storm for your brother and family.

We sound like similar characters. @Yahooey  I am often the one who cooks for the family. I love to prepare Italian style meal's like the sausage and peppers.

I buy the thin round sausage with parsley and provolone, and cook that a lot because everyone in the fam enjoys it.

I recently bought the thin ring chicken sausage from the butcher. It was fantastic, but it doesn't have the cheese in it. Still awesome and very tasty.

Re: @Preds ❤️

[ Edited ]

thank you kindly for the comments on my over rated skills

when people comment on my cooking or knitting or gardening

i say - i can read and watch youtube

nothing in particular is original

i try - if it is good - it goes in the - gonna make that again

if it fails - never doing that again

that pertains to culinary and gardening

although i sometimes do try try again bc i really really want to eat it

that pertains to both culinary and gardening LOL

America's Test Kitchen is a show I trust giving me good results

some of their recipe are rather fussy and i let it pass by

the gnocchi intrigued me - looks rather easy - never bought package gnocchi

i'm sure it would be expensive buying multiple packages

it doesnt look like a lot per package

my niece who doesnt eat meat said that when she orders gnocchi from a restaurant

the portion is usually very small and expensive - she stated that goes for ravioli also

NOT making that - just the dough alone makes me shudder

my niece said - this is really farm to table

a lot of the stuff came from my garden - either fresh or frozen

it made me very proud - i worked very hard on the garden

it starts in March with seeds indoors -

i am now dismantling it little by little each week as things die off

then will till it with kitchen scraps - section by section - even in the dead of winter

until every foot has some - so it has months to decompose until it starts all over
