@Tique @Yahooey @MyShadowLove @geezerette @cowboy sam @SouthernBee  and everyone who responded to my post.....thank you for your support and advice. I really appreciate it! My DH will never "lay down the law". It's not in his DNA, so I just have to look out for myself and figure out how to escape or manage their visits.

Good Morning friends,

I hope everyone will have a restful weekend.
After all that rain yesterday in the city; I'm still trying to dry out. 😆

Still dreary here today, but I understand the sun will try to  peak out later this afternoon. Who knows?

There's one particular weatherman that usually gets it right. I like to listen to his forecast. It helps that he's easy on the eyes too. 😊

Sometimes I think the weather people make up the forecasts as they go along. 😝

Going to stay in and straighten up this place today. I plan on making a big pot of soup, and catch up on my soaps @cowboy sam

Enjoy the day everyone!

Hello everyone!  Some time ago I posted about the unhappiness of my sister, so negative about everything. Well, she seems to be better now, and that's so much easier to talk to her.  Thanks for all who cares. and a prayer never hurts.  She is 96, 13 years older than me. I have another sister, a nun, who is 95.  Two other sisters have passed away and I sure miss them.  Yahooey, your pictures are interesting, and animals are cute.  You have a talent in picking out nice ones.

yes - it is fenced in and she never learned to climb over for which I am grateful

she is an older cat for which idk how time passed so quickly

she is 15

@Yahooey ...If only they lived so much longer....They leave us much too quickly... their precious paw prints always on our hearts!

My precious Shadow was 18-1/2 and I so wish that I could have had her for another 18-1/2 years...Her loss will always be felt and has been the deepest...There will never be another "Shadow" in my life...I will always miss her.

I read somewhere not long ago that the oldest living cat is British and 27 years old...One of my previous cats was adult when he found his way to us, so it was difficult for the Vet to determine his exact age but he estimated it to be around 7 or 8 years...and we had him for approximately 16 years...so that would make him in his early 20's.

So, you see, Zoe and you have many more years together!...I love that you made her your Avatar...She is adorable and has a spunky looking face and her eyes are somewhat intense ...They appear to be saying..."Waz da hecks iz yous lookin' ats"!...LOL  Heart

dear predsHeart  and friendsHeart

I got "2" walks in yesterday

I decided i need to walk to groc. store  as i needed a few freezer meals..they have small portions of food in each one.

Few hours later neighbor friend called and asked if i'd like to go for walk...said ok.

Started up the street but saw a grey stripped kitty/cat in my old drive way...so i sofetly hissed at it   and it moved away....then i noticed it had a chip munk  that  managed to run from cats   paws and up a tree!

I had saved is life from that cat! wow!

We then decided where we wanted to walk  and found out that we were half a block from where the high school was going to have its Homecoming parade!

so...we walked the block  and watched it .,then walked back to our street and home!

Story time again!

Well,i told my daughter  last week after she got a different car   that i had her car title for her old worn out car   for safe keeping!

I have been hunting for that car title all week in my safe! or lock box.!. I could "Not" find it!!!..Smiley Sad

so as i was going to call and tell her i lost it...Smiley Sad  last night

...she he called me....  to say she looked in her backpack  and she found  the  old car  title!!!!   ???

She is giving the car to a friend for parts or????So.... she needed its title to give him...

End of storySmiley LOL

@Yahooey

geeze i didn't know you were having all that rain...as i very seldom watch tv news and weather!  Has it stopped yet?

@KBEANS

Glad your brother is doing so good !Sorry you also had rains.

@SouthernBee

you will be ok  as you get used to new eating habits...just please don't get stressed by trying to change everything in a day...it takes time.

@KBEANS ...I'm happy for you and  your family that your brother continues to do well.

Is your bathroom finally finished now?

I had my eye on The Weather Channel and the images were so  unbelievable...people wading through so much water and all of the flooding that occurred!...Where do they begin to get everything cleaned up and working efficiently again!

Thank goodness sunny weather is on its way!

@MyShadowLove  @cowboy sam

Thanks for the concern on my brother and family.🥰

Believe it or not, the bathroom is still not done! 😠

They are taking their sweet time with the last issues which were : the too big of a tile opening under the sink around the pipe, the door jam and replacing the bathroom door that didn't fit back on when they were finished.

The contracted plumbing and tile company says that they aren't the ones that put the door jam back on 😝 and they need to talk to the Co op supervisor about closing the tile hole, and the Co op is saying that I'm responsible for the new bathroom door.

I am trying to be reasonable, and patient, but I'm ready to start making threats about calling the City of New York's 311 help line.

The fact that a newly renovated bathroom has silver tape over the brand new tiles tells you no one gives a cr ap about shoddy work.
