Yes, it was the end of August when she last posted and she had stated that she would be consulting with the Neurosurgeon that week as to the best possible procedure....So, I'm staying positive and thinking that she is most likely  recuperating and we will hear from her when she is able.

@SouthernBee ...I'm just quoting that part of your post that I want to reply to and save space...Don't be so hard on yourself and don't deprive yourself too drastically...It will take time and patience for your body to adjust to your lifestyle changes and, as time goes on, you will definitely start to notice how much better you are starting to feel and that is what will be the strong driving force that will keep you going.

If you get hungry...fine...fix a healthy snack...If you crave for a sweet...have a small portion of whatever it is you want...It's all about portion control and eating healthier.

Oh, and, most importantly,  pay no attention whatsoever to all those stacks of treats that your husband keeps stashed in his room...LOL

Just keep your mind on your overall health and YOU!

And, of course, we all will be here cheering you on every step of the way!  😊

we are having RAIN - state of emergency has been declared

subways are flooded - OY!

i'm staying put with cawfee and a snack later

the soil is so saturated - thare are puddles on top of it

I heard on the news about the NYC flooding.  They said people were literally swimming in the subways.  That's nuts!

Be careful and stay inside with your cawfee and all that delicious food you make.

nyc trains never stop

so for it to be flooded and some are stopping service 

this is bad - they stopped all service when SANDY came

put all the trains to bed - so the tracks were cleared

i'm drinking cawfee and eating a snack soon

@Yahooey ...Wow, I didn't hear about the situation in NYC until I got home a few hours ago...Then, I was busy with some phone calls that I had to make...I have the News on now and am seeing the reports on it and the rain is to continue into tomorrow until around the afternoon when it will be ending.!...Good Grief!...How are you in your area?...Cuddle up with Zoe and stay safe!

We are keeping a close eye on our basement area...As I already shared on here, we had a couple of leaks in our basement a couple of months ago or so from all of the rain...for the first time in the 20 years since we have lived here...The foundation company won't be here until the end of October....So far, all is good!

Yes, I actually picked up some Mums and Pumpkins yesterday afternoon and planted the Mums early last night...A few of the Pumpkins are really funky looking...kinda like warts growing all over them...LOL...I couldn't resist!...I found a picture online.

@Yahooey...Oh Yeah, I love all of  those various wonky gourds too and picked some of them up also...I tucked a few in my wndow box and I also got a couple of small white pumpkins and placed them by my "Quacker Family" so that they would have their own pumpkins...LOL...They look so cute!

I've kept an eye on The Weather Channel and the images are absolutely unbelievable!...My heart breaks for the City and all that it has been going through...one thing after another and now this.

I'm sure relieved that you and Zoe are doing okay...It is great that you have a secure and safe area where she can go outside and enjoy whenever she wants...Is it a fenced-in area?

yes - it is fenced in and she never learned to climb over for which I am grateful

she is an older cat for which idk how time passed so quickly

she is 15
