Good afternoon y' all. Went with DH at lunch to eat Cicis Pizza. Tried to select the thin crust, taco pizza,  ham and pineapple. The lady manager made for us the dessert pizza  forgot the correct name but had vanilla custard with dices of apples with cinnamon and vanilla  glaze. She laughed when I said it was perfect but needed a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Only me can think of adding extra calories.😊

We returned home about 12:30 and I have been busy working on my grocery order trying to compare the sales prices of Publix and the Walmart prices. Previously used for Publix was the Publix app with the Instacart carrot logo on it for the Publix sales prices with no problems. Today in the middle of my order was asked to change to the Instacart Publix apps. So I made the change and prices were higher and indicated sales prices allowed only for pickup orders.🤔😮😮. I don't drive. Publix had the Boston butt roast on sale for $1.99 pound. Plus the Mount Olive  Salad Cubes and The Sweet Petite Pickles that I prefer for 2 for $5. Previously the sales price for the pickles was ( BOGO - another sneaky way to increase prices). Walmart doesn't have the Petite Pickles. 0k .....rant over.

What am i doing this afternoon?

Grandaughter and i will be deciding what items she might  my  need help buying when son,his wife and other daughter plus  d/i/l mom....tommorrow for 3 days while the are in town.

I'm thinking i want to buy in our small town...as i dislike shopping when its very busy  and other persons stocking up also for Labor fday weekend!

Will be in 90's again maybe next few days again...so don't want her house hotter if oven in use!

I'm not planning on spending a lot of money...but buy extra toliet paper,etc.and bottled spring drinking water..and maybe something for her crockpot...will talk to her again when she calls me again.

My brain is over thinking..and could get me into trouble with her...buying only what is needed or needed later.  ik..me needs to uh??

A couple weeks ago HSN had a special of the day..a Coop Sleep Goods the Original adjustable Queen pillow...well i waiedt to long to order it at $52.00 and free shipping!

Price went back to $72.00 and no free S&H!

I had in a e-mail from HSN 20% off 1 item...meaning$ 14.00 off that same pillow for total $57.00 without tax,etc.

I went to order and i was charged full price +shipping+tax...over$ 80.00...so i canceled my order...and tried again..same thing.!

Finally it  i tried again& my coupon worked...until i was to click submit  then to changed higher price again!

I called HSN...wait time was over 10 min..i was told....well "after 45 min"..i had a wait time of 3 min...and a lady answered...told her what was happening...her phone connection wasn't the best...but she placed my order for me with discount,so pillow was at @14.00 off and would be $57.60 sub total  and S&H and tax was added  and ended up paying

$69.33

I hope..she assured me it would be. My  own cc card was charged $80.00 for first order i cancelled...so that needs to be taken off card!

Very good reviews on community thread  here plus on HSN.

Delivery by 9/09/23  i hope!

You both sound like you're busy with shopping today.

We have actually had some decent weather the last couple of days--cooler with lower humidity.  It's been so nice, I've felt halfway human again!☺️

I've been trying to get some outside work done that I've neglected while the weather is nice.  I guess it's a good thing that it will be warming back up again (getting hot!🥵) starting tomorrow because my body has about given out.  I'm really out of shape!😩

Yesterday, SIL and DH went to eat at Waffle House that is 5 minutes from our house and across the street from Publix. SIL went to Publix and purchased for me the sales items that I needed. I refunded the money to her because she doesn't get paid until next week.  That was a surprise and extra Blessing.DH doesn't shop but when he goes to Publix Pharmacy for our meds will get milk or bread but that's all.

I still needed to place another grocery order with Walmart to be delivered today.

Whew..grandaughter and i went groc, shopping..i bought    hers and mine   then stpped at Mc Donalds for us each a large coke ..then back  to our town   we stopped and i bought my toilet paper and pop at Dollar General store.

We had a nice time together

Then my daughter stopped in and visited  with me for a while and then left to go to my grandaughters house and visit with her a while..i think her brother should be in town around 4pm  depending on traffic from Mo. to our town in Il.

Been awake since 3:30-4 am....gonna be a long day until bedtime  at 10-11 pm!
