Good morning, it's a hazy humid morning and it may rain and it may not. Stop the presses!!!!! I broke out the ironing board and iron! I washed the kitchen and bedroom curtains and just finished ironing them, I can't remember the last time that I used the iron. Woman LOL

@JaneMarple...Wow, you have had a very busy morning so far...Congratulations on your reunion with your iron and ironing board...I bet they were feeling very neglected and were very happy to see you!  😂

@Mj12 @MyShadowLove @JaneMarple @cowboy sam  and all, good morning! Drove to Ohio on Thursday and drove back yesterday. Bloodwork ✅. Mammogram ✅. Eye appointment ✅. Picked up things I can only get there as y'all know I live "away from it all" down here. Visited with daughter and SIL. Drove through pouring down rain and thunderstorms ALL the way back down here, and I'm just worn out!

Will check back in later.

@cowboy sam , my heart ❤️ post to Preds is gone too. It was just a heart.

morning @Mj12 @loveschocolate @MyShadowLove @JaneMarple @SouthernBee

@cowboy sam @dooBdoo @geezerette

ai es bak - get cawfee and read if u choose or not

just a lil of what i did and ate

Thurs - friend from NJ took Amtrack - her aunt (10 yrs older) got on at Penn Sta NY so they traveled together and was getting in Boston at 645pm - I took an earlier bus $54 vs over $200 on amtrack)  - I got in at 430pm

There is a distinct family member who was very nice to my family when i was a teen

We stayed at their home - her children older than us by 10 yrs or so took us around and we had a blast - we really never took vacations

This woman is very hard of hearing and she called once or twice a year to chat w/mom and they really didnt have a conversation since she couldnt hear. She called a month after my mom passed and she cried - (of course i had to yell mom passed several times which wasn't pleasant)

I decided to visit - i rememeber the address (dont know why) I don't have the phone number and wouldnt call anyway bc she can't comprehend bc of deafness. I don't even know if she was still alive. I bought some pasties and walked (mapped out in advance from home - 1/2 mile from bus station). She was home - opened front door and there was a lock screen door between us. I was yelling - my parents names - who i was - my siblings. She kept saying something different and I'm shaking my head no. We were both wearing a mask and I didnt want to give her anything - I found out later she was 96.

Told her - I haven't seen you in 40 years. Then I started mentioning her kids names and what they did for a living. Told her - I didn't want to scare her - I can leave the pastries and leave. She was more intrigued after I mentioned the dog from 40 years ago. Who would know that? She finally got my parents names right and she got my name.

We chatted or I yelled basically - showed her some photos on the phone. She was so touched I found her - she teared up when I left. Her children (70 + yrs old) look in on her and some live close by.

I proceeded to head to my hotel - took the bus for $1.80

waited in lobby until they arrive

dinner - Union Oyster House

I had fried seafood sampler w/french fries - calamari, clam strips, oysters, fillet of fish and onion rings

aunt had seared sea scallops w/rice pilaf

friend had fried shrimp w/ french fries

all was good and I bunked in with them since the other friend was not driving in till Friday - (she had to work thurs)
