@geezerette : Totally agree and understand. Plus my practical gifts were less expensive than what they gave me that went directly to the donation box. I have begged them to please stop all gift exchanges. I don't need stuff. No more storage or display space plus don't want extra stuff to dust and clean.

@SouthernBee @geezerette

i understand about gifts

when i was younger

i insisted on buying gifts - not practical ones

or when parents said - nothing - i still bought

kinda proud when i made my own money and wanted to buy

it wasnt extravagant in any sense of the word

but stuff they might not buy (they probably didnt want it either)

but that is what u do when u are younger

i got cash from them - they were NOT shoppers or spenders

they worked hard - so frivolous was not embraced

too busy working and they wouldnt know what to buy - clueless

i felt they didnt put much effort bc i equate taking the time to shop as caring

so i do understand why ur loved ones dont want to buy water or grabbers

it took me a long time before i understand that accepting gifts can be a burden

i stopped gift giving .... sharing a meal w/laiughs is much preferred

sending lubs ❤️

dear predsHeart and FriendsHeart

@Yahooey @geezerette @SouthernBee

Daughter  wrought me a case of 24 bottles "spring water" .  each bottle is 16 oz.9 oz,Smiley Happy

plus

6 bottles of coca cola-each 2 leiters!!!Smiley Very Happy

We had breakfast out i had -cinnomon french toast and a dr.pepper

she had a omlete.

Then to Walmart 12miles away...they didn't have my Pepsodent orginal tooth paste!! Smiley Sad

But they had Nonnies Salted Caramel Biscotti! Not so sure if i like the taste of them or not yet?? Bought more flavored  drink packs  to add to water-A&W,and pineapple!

Went to 2 thrift shops..number one..just looked around and left. Second one i found a very pretty pink flowered coffee mug for 50 cents  and box of 60 watt light bulbs 8 in box for $2.00.

Next to a Dollar Tree Store..found my cinnomon but it has sugar in it.. i bought 2,found some  Kingsford  brand baked beans with brown sugar molasses in a rich,sweet sauce...i bought 4 cans.

Then we came back to my house.Daughter taking a nap for like maybe 2 hours now.

It felt sooooo good to shop in stores again!

Oh my goodness!  The original Pepsodent toothpaste was my husband's favorite!  I used to be able to get it at Walmart for under a dollar, and then it disappeared.  Dollar General stores carried it sometimes so I always bought all I could when I found any.  Of course I don't buy it anymore so I have no idea if it's still available anywhere.

Other than that, it sounds like you had a fabulous shopping trip!  👍
