@Drythe : Thank you. With my old oven set the temperature at 350 for this cake and baked over an hour. With my current oven using the 350 the outside would burn and inside very undercooked. I then reduced temperature to 330 and still had a thick gummy center and decided Sunday to reduce the temperature to 325 and cook for 45 minutes. Thinking next time to start with the 350 for 30 minutes and reduce to 325 . I watched a video where someone put the pound cake in the cold oven and then turned the oven on . I am thinking about purchasing a couple of the pound cake mixes to experiment with.

I forgot that my oven is digital- I have to cancel and reset and not sure if will make a difference.

just wanted to share some sugar snap peas - 

i bought the purple variety bc they are small and i missed many a string bean bc green on green is hard to find last year

i didnt know they are a cool crop - meaning early planting after last frost or in the fall before frost comes 

i planted them 6-8 inches apart - WRONG - they dont trellis very well and i had to keep tying them with thin yarn bc they are so delicate

i didnt get a lot bc u are supposed to plant densely - 1-1.5 inch apart and they can grab each other if you can trelllis the tightly togehter

anway... the flowers are so pretty and they are a crunchy tasty snack

i have picked and just eaten them off the vine

there isnt enough for a meal - cooked or uncooked

so it is a fun snack as i peek at my MATERS as @Drythe calls dem
