Today was 101 and high humidity with an extra helping of pollen.
Heard an NPR report that this is a particularly bad year for pollen.
Not good for any of us asthma suffers. Want to look that story up
tomorrow and read why it is so bad, something about droughts and heat made plants produce extra flowers and cones as extreme weather made them think they are in danger.
Wow, plants having anxiety.
@Drythe : Please forgive me for complaining about our 95 temperature but suppose to be 99 today. Currently 73.Me staying inside and not doing anything. Stay cool and safe.🙏♥️🤗🥤🥤🥤🥤

Good Morning Preds and Friends!

I'm finally feeling like myself again. This past week really took a lot out of me mentally and physically.
It is so hot here. The heat index is 105-110. The humidity makes it feel suffocating outside. We had some bad storms the other night. Tornado sirens were going off.
I haven't kept up with y'all, but I did see a very cute raspberry from @Yahooey It looks like something you'd get at a fancy schmancy restaurant that they would use a tweezer to put on the plate.
Love you, All! ![]()

Hot? How hot is it today?? 100!
Plus high pollen,etc!
lubs ya!
Our bank just changed ownership a month or so ago. The booklet said if you're setting up a new account, give them the new routing number. Otherwise, everything that was set up previously would go through with the old routing number.
We've had no problems so far.

He's home and finally agreed to have a nurse come out and check on things. My sister is exhausted. She gets up every 5 seconds and she probably doesn't even sleep at night. I understand how she feels, but she's going to collapse if she doesn't let someone else lighten her load a little bit. If I get him something, she has to get up and follow me to make sure I'm doing it the "right" way. I don't know anymore.
We're going to get up into the 90s this week.
@Bri369 oh my gosh I am so sorry. Praying for your Dad & you. ![]()

@Bri369 I've not been "in the neighborhood" much and something drew me to this thread today. I haven't read back. I only read your post above.
First, your entire family is in my prayers.
I went through something similar with a sibling when my mom was ill.
The best advice I got was to not take what/how my sibling was acting/doing personally. It was suggested it was their way of coping and dealing with a difficult, emotional situation.
My sibling did the same thing yours is doing. My feelings about it were all over the map, and the stress of caring for an ill loved one, didn't help my mental/physical health.
Once I looked at it differently, not taking their actions personally, it helped me a lot. Took some weight off my shoulders. Most days it was easy, but I am human. Some days, it bothered it or annoyed/frustrated me. I had to remember, it wasn't about me. It was about them.
I had enough of my own issues and feelings to deal with . lol I didn't need to take on my sibling's issues. lol
I hope you can follow my ramblings. I hope any/all of it can help.
It's not an easy time. Give yourself and your sibling some grace.

how are ur plants doing?
@Yahooey the garden is good! Zucchini plants, lots of hot peppers, 4 tomato plants (2 roma plants and I'm tring 2 heirloom plants this year). Everything is growing well, I need to get out there more and weed. But I never feel like it so there's that. ![]()
Lemon tree is doing well, lots of new leaves and growth. Still no baby lemons.

Thank you so much for your heartfelt reply. I truly appreciate it.
I agree with you in that it's her way of coping with the situation. Honestly, I am scared for her because she cannot or will not accept what ultimately is going to happen. It may be tomorrow, next month, or next year - nobody knows. I cannot take on the burden of her grief. That may come across as cold or maybe not even making sense, but that's how I feel sometimes.
I need to get over trying to "fix" her and accept her for who she is. I still am angry about how she handled things with my mom too. That's my issue to work on - or, one of many issues. I just feel so consumed sometimes with anger for the whole situation, and I blame her for making things worse. Then she calls me to fix it. One of these days, I won't be able to fix it.
Thanks for letting me vent. We're all just trying to do the best we can.
