@cowboy sam : Thank you.🤗❤️. I had something else happen yesterday but don't have the energy to deal with it.

One of my EBay orders for the  vintage  Nordic Ware  heavy aluminum 12 cup Bundt pan. When I picked the  package up off the porch it wasn't  heavy. The package  was doubled wrapped. The outside was from  the selller and of course my  info. The the second wrapping with different  name and address in the upper left hand corner and a different name and address. I carefully opened to protect the information. Inside was a very old and vintage Nordic ware box but inside was a brand new and the newest version of the Nordic Ware Bundt pan that is super light weight. DH told me to immediately notify the seller about this and request a full refund. She responded and said my information was wrong but when I return the pan and package she will refund the purchase price only. Of course: I was immediately hysterical and crying.

Wish I could see your collection!  Have always had a fascination with glass - Air & Fire.  Your Mom must have been an interesting person, and what fun collecting together!

I collect Carnival glass, fruit patterns.  Some say it is tacky, but I

like it.  Also have a small collection of EAPG, no particular pattern, just what catches my fancy.

Hope you are able to find some pieces in your new home.  There used be tables and tables of it around here, but, as you know this type of thing is out of fashion now. 😕

@Drythe , it's not tacky! I'm fascinated with glass! All kinds, really, but I focus on the two types. But, if I see something I really love, I get it! I have a few boxes of depression glass I still need to unpack. My Blue Danube china is still in Ohio, but packed up.

@loveschocolate

Being in Ohio, home to so much beautiful glass, you were in the prime place to find wonderful things.   I’m in Central NC, not all that far from you. NC born and raised, have traveled a good bit, but here is home.  Please do not make fun of the accent, or criticize the food! 🤭

Note to self - change locks.

@Drythe, @loveschocolate, Some of my happiest memories come from the years I lived in Central NC and then in Western NC.  We landed there because of my first husband's work in the arts community, made a point of spending weekends travelling side roads and breathing in the beauty and culture, and made incredibly wonderful friends while we were there.  I already had (and loved) the accent and the food having been born and raised in the deep southeast!  I'd go back in a heartbeat.😊

Thanks!  I love glass pieces.

Hey, lookit, another one of us!  Glass lovers. Since childhood I have been fascinated by glass, Fire & Air, and the moon.

Several years ago I left the Murano glass factory in Venice in floods of tears.

They were displaying for sale a 10”  crescent moon, in oyster glass (a very delicate carnival glass in white) with gold, and silver, and pale blue washes.

One of the most beautiful pieces of glass!  It was a mere $5,200, (isn’t that disgusting, and outrageous to even look at?) and worth every penny, but way out of my budget for decorative tchotchkes which need to be dusted!

Let’s all go glass hunting!

Everyone hold hands crossing the street & I’ll see you at the playground.♥️

Add me to the list!   I became fascinated with stained glass windows when I was a kid, and that grew into a love of all kinds of glass.   I'm not an artist, but in college I wanted to understand art and so I took art history courses and also took some of the applied arts and crafts classes so I could try and understand the process.

So many of my dear friends over the years have been -- are -- in the visual arts and fine crafts, and I've been lucky to collect some lovely one-of-a-kind pieces of glass along the way.

I also like a variety of vintage glass...   hard to explain what catches my eye, but though I don't collect it anymore I still enjoy the pieces I  have.

Preds and very special friends: Information on the vintage heavy aluminum 12 cup Bundt pans: the original can weigh anywhere from 1.6 - 2.6 pounds=97ED0713-BAE2-4C36-AD60-179BB29B3D65.jpeg

The newer light weight pans weigh 0.5 pounds for the red one. The eBay seller advertised the pan that I purchased as the vintage heavy weight one. Then she stated she didn't understand my problem.😳🤷‍♀️ Going to watch the Georgia football game and look for UGA 365EF9CC-5A9A-44F5-8366-01BED9C19AA4.jpegand the dog house on the side lines.😀5C7F8900-6731-4C50-A5F7-CF057A52A2D5.jpeg
