@Drythe : Yes, special friends just left. Let me find it and see best way to post. Friends were screaming and jumping  up and down because I normally just have one loaf but today they received the whole cake.❤️❤️Southern Bee

@Drythe : Trying to post bottom of recipe page with corrections. Hope that I can do this and that you will be able to see and read it. As previous pictures indicated- the other day used 4 loaf pans sprayed with Bakers Joy and cooked in a 330 degree oven for 45 minutes. Original recipe called for 350 degree oven. Cook until light golden but I start checking at around 35 minutes trying not to over cook. Of course all ovens are different and you can adjust due to your baking experience.🤷‍♀️❤️❤️Southern Bee

from @SouthernBee for @Drythe and all her friends

- this will be easier to cut and paste

Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Prepare 10" tube pan, use wax paper and make a circle. Grease and flour tube pan and line with the cut wax paper. Set aside. All ingredients should be at room temp. Use Swans Cake Flour and Philly Cream Cheese for best results

3 sticks butter or margarine
3 cups of sugar: I use 2 1/2 cups
Dash of salt
(1) 8 oz pkg of cream cheese
6 large eggs
3 cups of sifted cake flour
1 1/2 tsp of vanilla: can use almond, lemon or orange

Cream butter, cream cheese, sugar together until light and fluffy about 5 minutes.
Add salt and vanilla, beat well
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
Fold in flour
Spoon mixture into tube pan
Bake: original recipe indicated 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs.

Adjustments - This was too high and fast for my oven. I had to start with 325 degrees for about 35 minutes and lowered to 310 degrees for 40 minutes or until inserted toothpick from center comes out clean.

Can be baked in mini loaf pans: (2) 8x5x4 or smaller mini loaf pans. You will need to reduce the baking time and test with toothpick for until done. Cake freezes well. Just cook, wrap in foil and put in air tight container. You can freeze the whole cake or in slices

I have used strawberry glaze and swirled it into the cake batter

@SouthernBee

Thank you so much!

My ONLY baking experience is with Pound Cakes!  Everything else is either dry when it should be moist, or moist when it should be crunchy!  But, for some reason pound cakes usually survive my efforts!  🌸

Thank you again, I know you must be busy after your visits.

@Drythe : Do not bake on a cloudy or rainy because part of the center will not cook and be gummy.❤️Southern Bee09EFDE3D-000D-4656-BE28-2234734C6BEB.jpeg

@Drythe : Thank you. I promise that this recipe makes a moist and flavorful cake. Kind of expensive but worth the cost and effort.❤️Southern Bee.
