Great news @Mominohio!!

I worried last night about him in the dark and cold.

Thank you for updating us!

I was so pleased to hear this ended well.  These autistic kids seem to wander a lot.....I think they need to figure out some sort of tracking device for them....if at all possible.

@Mominohio

It is hard for me to imagine what it might be like, searching every inch of your own property and just not knowing. With helicopters whirring overhead, too.

So glad they located the boy and that you got some well-deserved rest. Thank goodness there are good people like you who CARE.

His situation sounds like it could be not good. I will be thinking good thoughts for him that maybe his home life will somehow get better.💜

I feel so bad for this boy. It seems some people in this world get more than their fair share of the bad or hard things.

I don't know his total situation, but his autism first, and needing to be in foster care second (and those are only two things we know about), just seem like the deck is stacked against him. He has much to overcome, and I hope his life is directed in a way that he is put where he needs to be with whom he needs to be to help him overcome what he is facing.

All I could think about that night is that five short years ago, that was the age of my son. My son is quite an outdoors kid, very smart, and big and strong, but I would have been terrified for him being missing like that. Add to it, the challenges this boy faces, and I could not even consider not getting out there and trying to help.

I've heard no details of how or where they found him, or what he may have done to pass the night safely, but I'm just so happy it ended well.

@Mominohio... It is indeed terrifying.  To think about this young boy. Hoping he ends up in a safe place with people who care.
