I really get annoyed with people who talk so much that they won't let you have your turn!  It is hard for me to understand that they don't notice that about themselves!  We were with a person like that last night at a church dinner!  I am sure his food was very cold when he finally ate it!!Woman Frustrated

I think if a person talks incessantly they must think they are pretty important and self-involved; therefore they would not notice this about themselves.

I agree about the spitting.  If you've ever been to NYC in the wintertime, the frozen gobs of spit on the sidewalk are revolting.

People with bad breath who insist on getting really close to you when speaking.

School ....

Parents - don't come into a conference 3 months into school and have no idea how your child is doing when their work has been sent home every Friday for 3 months.

Parents - check your child's folder for homework and make sure it gets done.  Also read the notes that are sent home.  Then you won't have to email or text me 2 minutes before the day starts to find out when the field trip is.

Parents - spend time with your children, laugh with them, read with them, play with them, listen to them, discipline them and hug them.  I shouldn't be the only bright light in your child's day.

This doesn't sound so much like eitiquette, but rather a set of good parenting skills.

Some people are gregarious and just very outgoing.  Could be nothing more or than that.  My dad was gregarious and he did not think he was more important than anyone else.

What are you referring to?  I commented on two posts.

Don't talk to people in line at the post office. We don't want to hear you whine about having to wait 10 minutes to get a stamp.

Re: Post your etiquette rules below!

I am not sure if this is etiquette but people who copy lengthy posts to reply to a particular comment. Is it really necessary to have a long trail of comments just to reply? I really don't know.

Any category --- what rules should all people follow to be polite?

I'll start....

Don't speak loudly into your phone in a public place.  No one else wants to hear your conversation.

Enter the doors that say "enter" and exit the doors that say "exit".

Do not bring your animals into someone else's home without their permission.

Take a test to see how your etiquette stands!
