There's an investigation re: CC breaches at various Wendy's locations, the locations involved are not yet disclosed.
If you use/used your CC or debit card at a Wendy's, keep an eye on your card activity!

Never thought I would see the day that a CC would be used at a fast food eatery. Things have really changed from my many years of working at drive-in restaurants. That however was decades ago, but CC to eat fast food? Just seems strange to me.

My niece uses her debit card for a cup of coffee at the drive thru at Dunkin Donuts.

I have gone to using cash as much as possible, with all the compromises and breeches that are occurring with card information at so many retailers.
We can't stop it all, but I figure the less I use the cards, the less my chances are of being compromised.
When using cash, it also makes a much bigger impact on what is actually being spent, and helps me control my spending a little better.

I find it strange that people would use credit cards at a fast food restaurant.

really not that strange anymore. most teens and young adults i see are not carrying any cash and just using their debit cards for EVERYTHING. if they need cash there is usually an ATM close by. otherwise, a $1 coffee.....just swipe and go.
also, others use their credit cards to accumulate miles, points, cash back.....
it PAYS to use your credit card these days.

Whatever it pays could be offset if your CC is compromised. I use a CC, but not for things that cost a couple bucks. I don't carry a lot of cash, but enough for "running around" costs.
Like another contributor said, I use my CC as little as possible when a on a typical out and about.
