Hope this is the right category to post this in - I have another poshmark question!

So, I feel like it's similar to my last question,but different enough so that I'm not sure about it.

I just listed a tshirt and then I get a message from someone saying her phone doesn't load poshmark pictures well, would I please send a couple of pictures to her email address  (she gave me the address).  What do you think?  Should I?  Shouldn't I?  Is it a straightforward reasonable request?  Or is it a scam of some kind?

Let me know your thoughts please.

This is a common scam on Poshmark. Correspondence off the app isn't allowed, so they normally remove those messages quickly.

No! No! Don't do that! I have also received such requests. What they do, every time, is that they then request that you sell the item outside of Poshmark. Then, you're no longer protected by Poshmark. I fortunately have said no to selling the items outside of the website. Now, I no longer acknowlege requests for e-mails or photos outside of Poshmark. If they need better pics or a close-up of an item, I do all of that WITHIN Poshmark. I don't mind uploading the pics within the listing on the website.

@reviewer from sc @mimps

Thanks so much for the responses.

Ok, the comment/question is still there - been over an hour now!

It seemed like an understandable request, but I'm suspicious of much these days so I posted here to ask.  Glad I did.  I will not reply to her off the site - however, as before, I don't understand the scam.  IF I replied to her email with my email or cell phone is that the "dangerous" part?  just to gain some of my information like that?  Do you know.?

Anyway, I won't reply to her directly.  Maybe I'll post something  on my listing answering her.

Thank you

I hope everyone will be ultra aware of all the scams going atround. Especially on your computer. I answered a survey online from a source that I buy. It was a scam for information that tied me up for a couple of years. You go on what they call the Dark Web and all your information is circulated. You get attacked with scams from everywhere. It's really quite hellish. Be very careful, and protect as much of any of your information as possible. I for one do not do any banking online. Happiness and good wishes at this blessed time of year.
