I watched a popcorn demo. David seemed to enjoy it. So I bought the offering plus signed up for automated. I really don't want to bash the popcorn here. Not my reason for writing. Just saying it came in greasy (packages) and when I tasted it ... salty and seemed overly coated with butter (or something similiar to butter). In any case last night after midnight I called customer service and asked to be removed from automated ordering. I explained I simply did not want to have more sent for the reasons I gave, salt and oil and general taste. What the rep offered me surprised me. So grateful. She told me to donate the popcorn to charity and she gave me a full refund.
I was delighted, pleased and astonished and thankful. Image having to send THAT back... overly oiled and all.
Wow, Q, thanks for your kindness and understanding.

QVC always gives a full refund for food products that do not meet the customers' expectations.
I've read that after eating an entire prime rib dinner, a poster called CS and said it was tough. Money was refunded no questions asked.

I have ALWAYS appreciated the customer service I have received at QVC!
It's the reason I have shopped with them for so long! Not just with food items, but all products!
Thank you QVC.

In all the years I've been a Q customer I've asked for a return on only two food products and I used to order it because (even expensive) I found it convenient.
Small steaks that were filled with gristle.... no problem, refunded immediately. The other was an expensive ham ($69) covered with cellaphane so you couldn't see the ham. It looked small to me compared to ones I buy at the grocery store (never over $25). When I unwrapped it I couldn't believe my eyes, the bone was huge in comparison to the meat. And the meat was filled with fat and I knew it wouldn't be enough meat for Thanksgiving dinner. I had to run out to the store and buy another one to cook along side this one!!
So I called and got a rep who was nice enough, but implied that I wasn't being truthful, that the ham I received wasn't quite as bad as I was describing but eventually agreed to a refund! I was floored .... the situation was exactly as I described it.....
And I'm thinking back .... I don't think I've purchased food since then. ![]()

Why did you want to be removed from automated ordering? Wouldn't it have been useful in the future? Maybe I don't understand how it works.

I stopped buying microwave popcorn because of the over use of oils and salt.... I either make my own or buy SkinnyPop which is WONDERFUL! Sam's club has huge bags of it.... I love it, it's lightly salted and you can taste the corn. And if you want a little butter flavor you can spray on Butter flavor (in a spray can like Pam) and salt it more if you want. Good product...

That tells me that is a QVC policy. Why? My guess is it would cost them more than the price of the item and take up more employee time once they received it.
This type of thing is not uncommon with Amazon, as they have done this for me twice. Not on popcorn, but on electronic associated items. They pay the return shipping, but I have no idea if QVC pays for the return shipping as I have never sent anything back.
This certainly could be considered a plus, but I like looking deeper into the why of things of this nature. That's just me. I am sure a food bank or charity will appreciate the donation.

@hckynut First, some food Q sells is frozen so customers couldn't exactly return that. Other non-frozen food would/could spoil being returned, not to mention causing rodent problems at QVC warehouses. And it would not even be safe for employees to handle possibly spoiled foods. When Q first started offering food it did take returns (I know - I sent some back but none was frozen). That policy didn't last long though until Q just took our word for it and gave a refund if we call and say we don't like a product.
