MANY - MOST of those BSN degrees are AD nurses going back on the hospital's dime to now get that BSN. I did it that way and so do many others. As for your areas hospitals ONLY hire BSN nurses - I am 100% certain that ios incorrect.

Where are you getting that?  I've seen no reports suggesting that's true and I doubt it is.  They would be making next to nothing compared to those in the tech business.  There are so many in tech and they are the ones driving Teslas and building monster mansions.

Most hospitals will not hire unless nurses have a minimum of a BSN. 

I have no idea where you are getting your information from.

When was the last time you had to pay a plumber, electrician or HVAC guy for an emergency repair? That's where I'm getting it! My cousin did HVAC and appliance repairs - he retired at 50! Has a home in Florida and one in Tenn. where he just goes to spend Christmas in the snow. Wife never had to work. I'd call that successful.

I checked out the pay for a Master Plumber to have something to work with, and because people here say that's a good example.

Here's what I found:

After apprenticeship, the average pay is...

2. Master Plumber (90th Percentile Pay: $102,000; Median Pay: $60,000)

That's not a lot for 2016 and certainly does not compare to most professional jobs.

Heck, just cause many of us struggled to get started in our 20's, doesn't mean EVERYONE does..I know..I watch HGTV...where hoards of 20 somethings are buying million dollar homes...equipped with the latest and finest kitchens..and they don't even COOK!!!! LOL!

You should read the facts presented to you by pitdakoka who is a university nursing professor.

Per the US census bureau - those with a PHd in the USA have an average income of $84,400 and MSN $72,824. ( And just consider the debt that comes with those degrees. )

In 2014 the average household income was $54,000.
