Pooch Perfect...new show...NO!!!

I've been seeing the ad for a new show on ABC called Pooch Perfect. Looks like a competition to see how outlandish they can groom dogs to look like all sorts of different animals. I cannot imagine anyone that loves dogs would think this is okay. I'm sure (at least I hope so) the colors they use on the dogs is safe, but to put those poor dogs through all of that is unacceptable in my honest opinion. Some days I think I've seen it all and then something like this comes along and I just cringe.

I hope it gets cancelled as soon as possible.😡

The eight-episode series will showcase ten of the best dog groomers in the country, along with their assistants, competing in a series of challenges. Each week, teams will compete in two challenges: the Immunity Puppertunity challenge and the Ultimutt Challenge showdown. The teams will face off in the grooming challenges, showcasing their creations on the ‘dogwalk’. There will be one elimination each week until the season finale, where the top three teams will compete for a giant cash prize and the Pooch Perfect trophy.

Never fails.  There's always someone making Poodles look like cartoon characters.

No, I won't be watching.

The new ABC show, which premieres on March 30, is hosted by Rebel Wilson and includes Lisa Vanderpump as a celebrity judge

@grandma petes - Lisa Vanderpump was on WWHL last night and said she was a judge on that show.  I've seen the commercial for the show.  All the dogs they showed looked a lot better before they were groomed. Lisa said she had a lot of fun on that show.  I was surprised that as much as she says she loves dogs, she would be a part of something like that.  Just IMO

That just makes my heart hurt....those poor dogs. All done for money and for rich people to parade as judges....smh😡

@grandma petes I'm not sure it's dogs people love so much.  It's dogs as people, sports fans, children, etc.  Not dogs as dogs.  Many times.

@WORKING GAL

It's just heartbreaking to see those poor dogs.....and if Lisa Vanderpump was a true dog lover, then she wouldn't be a part of something like this...no matter how much money they offered.

What an awful idea for a show!

I hope no dog is hurt in anyway and it is cancelled.

Why don't the humans just do it on themselves!

I have been seeing those ads also.  I will probably check it out - there is not much worth watching on TV.

I can't watch that commercial.  It makes me sick what they're doing to the dogs for "entertainment."
