Please allow me to vent - ShopHq

UGH!!!  I had purchased some compression undergarments from SHOPhq because I'm going to an event soon (I think)  and thought maybe they might help my look.  Anyway, it ended up being a crazy and upsetting month because I've had some health and dental emergencies and all that goes with that. So time got a bit away from me.  There was also July 4th which messed up schedules and post office availability.  Anyway, I did not like these garments, packed them up, paid more than $10 to ship them back and was wondering why my account had not been credited.  So I called today and was told I shipped a few days after the 30 days and they are on their way back to me.  No email.  No pass for my first minorly late return.   This is expensive.  And I am incredibly mad.  I guess I'm done with Shophq. Shouldn't I be?  I've been a long term customer but now I have to eat more than $200 for items I do not want and will not wear.  They could have handled this so much better.  They could have treated me with respect.

Hopefully you guys agree with me and can support me!  This is a lot of money to waste.

Plus I had a big dental procedure yesterday! ugh.

Why would you be mad at them?  You didn't return them in time.

On a different note, I hope you are feeling better from your health and dental issues.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@moonandthestars Hope you feel better soon.

In the past I've read reviews here about really negative experiences with this outfit. I wouldn't buy anything from them.

That said, you didn't return the items in a timely manner so that's on you. Live and learn.

Even tho it's your first return that was not on time, they aren't obligated to make an exception.

I don't see any disrespect. You didn't follow their rules.

@moonandthestars  sorry this happened to you, but that's the way it works. It would have been the same if the return was over 30 days here at QVC and HSN. Can you sell it?  Hope you feel better soon.

Re: Please allow me to vent - ShopHq

I support you. That sounds like a lot of stress!

Sounds like Shop HQ is quite rigid with their return policies. (Which is their right, of course. No wiggle room to account for unavoidable events. At least no wiggle room for your unavoidable events. These places sure give themselves excuses and exceptions when they're late.

Different stores have more or less leeway in Grace periods and things like that. Good to know where Shop HQ stands. If you want to spend a good chunk of money, it's not the best place to do it if you have a lot going on and you aren't sure you will want to keep the items.

The Amazon Wardrobe system is a pretty good program. It's very clear about what you have to do to keep or return the clothes you're trying.

Sorry you had that experience but the fault was yours.  30 days, IMO, is ample time to return items. How many was a "few days"???  Buyer beware!

@gidgetgh First of all, thank you for the good wishes.  Second, I'm mad because I find this to be unreasonably rigid!  And short sighted.  It wasn't a month past or a year past it was a few days. Items returned in perfect condition. I'm a long term customer with no history of any late returns.

Re: Please allow me to vent - ShopHq

@Love my grandkids  Thank you.  And yes I agree they had/have no obligation to accept the return.  They made a choice.  And now I probably won't ever buy from them again because I prefer to be treated like a valued customer who is also a human.  Of course also very disappointed about losing the money and I've really had not a great month or so, so this just feels depressing too.  Like another thing not going my way.  sheesh.

Re: Please allow me to vent - ShopHq

@moonandthestars   You have had unpredicted stressful situations happen recently.  Emergency dental work is no fun.  I hope you are feeling better soon.  You know that there is a limited amount of time for returns.  Unfortunately, you had unexpected events, ShopHq won't care....they will follow the rules as it benefits them.

I'd take a deep breath and just consider it an expensive lesson.  Let it go as soon as possible, knowing that when we get those stressful experiences you now have the wisdom to slow down and consider overall conditions in your life.

So sorry and I hope you feel better soon.  Yes, you lost some money but you gained in wisdom.  Quickly, let this pass.
