Re: Please Walmart -- Drop This New Service

@FLgardener    Not really a retort. I recently watched something about the Berlin Wall and it was stuck in my head.

I don't do curbside pickup so forgive me if I get it wrong.

I suppose a person orders from home then goes to the store, let's them know they've arrived and can then ask that a drink be added. If that's how it works, why would the employee need to suggest getting a drink for the customer at their car? Obviously, if they wanted a drink they would have already requested one.

@occasionalrain, When you do a curbside pickup order you order though their app. You pick a location and an available time slot. You notify when you arrive which numbered parking space you are at.

Since you are ordering through the app you are limited to only the items available on the app. For soft drinks that means the 6 pack,12 pack, liter bottles or the cases of cans. Water is the same, bottles bundled or gallons.

There is no option for individual chilled bottles. Also depending on the number of errands you may well be ready for a beverage by the time you pick up groceries.

They grab one from the coolers close to the check out. You do not have to buy a six pack or 12 pack. It is added to your bill before the transaction is complete.

Re: Please Walmart -- Drop This New Service

I haven't seen this though we haven't done curbside since covid lockdown.

I always bring a drink with me in the car; either water or coffee.

I would buy the kid working on a hot, humid, miserable day a water though.

An extra buck to do a kindness - oh yes!!!
